In 2003, the Delta Trevi Kitchen and Bath Collections received top honors from Home Magazine for its ability to meet the high demands of today's lifestyles in terms of both form and function. Awards for Kitchen & Bath are chosen based on versatility, design and user experience.
Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post, the American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. The Delta Monitor 1800 Series Jetted Shower XO garnered the award, nicknamed the "Stevie," in 2003 in the Best New Product category. Judges felt the faucet "exemplified the initiative to move away from conventional industry offerings and provide consumers with [a] unique and innovative product," according to Michael Gallagher, president of The American Business Awards.
Citing the company's ability to translate innovative design into business success, the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) and BusinessWeek magazine named the Delta brand as the 2003 Design and Business Catalyst Award recipient. The prestigious honor recognized the company’s Signature® and Waterfall® pull-out spray faucets as powerful industrial designs that established the Delta brand as a market leader. The Catalyst Award selects recipients from past winners of the IDEA Award.
Kitchen & Bath Design News honors individuals and companies in the kitchen and bath design industry that exemplify true leadership with the annual Kitchen and Bath Industry Leadership Awards. It is the first and only kitchen and bath industry awards program of its kind, focusing specifically on leadership excellence and outstanding industry achievement. Delta Faucet Company, recognized for its involvement in such charities as Habitat for Humanity, Race for the Cure, the American Heartwalk and United Way, was the recipient of the 2003 Second Place Award for Outstanding Kitchen and Bath Industry and Community Service.
Awarded to a product that serves as a leading example of excellence in design and functionality, the GOOD DESIGN Award was presented to the Delta Palo® Collection in 2003. Founded in 1950 by Edgar Kaufmann and many of the pioneering greats of American and modern design, the GOOD DESIGN program is the oldest and one of the most important design competitions worldwide.
