INDIANAPOLIS - Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI) elected Paul Patton, senior manager of research, development and regulatory at Delta Faucet Company, as 2016 board president. Delta Faucet Company has been a member of PMI for 45 years.
“We are fortunate to have such an experienced, dedicated and innovative leader as president,” said Barbara C. Higgens, CEO and executive director, PMI. “As a tremendously active board member, Paul has shown great leadership and we look forward to what he will accomplish during his term as PMI president.”
A 35-plus-year veteran of the plumbing industry, Patton is driven by enhancing how consumers interact with water. The creator of the innovative Delta H2Okinetic® showerhead, he actively lends his insights and expertise to PMI and has been involved with the association for 11 years.
The voluntary, not-for-profit international industry association functions as a sounding board for its members, a resource for industry, and a coordinating and decision-making body for industry issues. It also helps to develop and maintain standards and codes while working closely with government agencies at all levels – federal, state and local.
“PMI is vital to the plumbing industry and I’m honored to accept such a pivotal role on its board this year,” said Paul Patton. “This association actively shapes our industry and with continued innovation, evolving applications and valuable consumer insights from Delta Faucet and other PMI members, I feel confident about what the future holds for plumbing.”
Representing plumbing product manufacturers across the industry, the PMI board steers organizational activities. All board members are actively employed by a PMI member company and the president is elected by membership at the fall conference to serve a one-year term.
