“A cobbler with holes in his shoes” is how Michelle Dall describes her husband, David. As a contractor in Connecticut, he spends his life renovating other people’s homes. “He comes home from work and wants nothing to do with [fixing up our] bathroom,” Michelle says.

The Dalls’ master bathroom had become a museum of outdated décor, broken fixtures and faucets that wouldn’t turn on. The couple was recently given a bathroom remodel from Delta Faucet and appeared on the “Good Morning America” feature “Hot Mess Express” in front of a live studio audience.

Pro designers Cija Johnson and Alex Guerrero created a plan for transforming the Dalls’ outdated space into a modern, chic spa bathroom. To save money, they suggested painting and repurposing existing mirror frames instead of buying new ones. They added simple motion-sensor lighting under the counter to make the room pop. They even repurposed old sconces from David’s childhood home and gave an old car hood ornament a new life as a towel holder.

The centerpiece of the new bathroom is a tub that features an Ara Roman Tub Trim with Channel Spout and an H2Okinetic shower head with TempAssure to help save water and protect from sudden temperature changes. All in all, the couple was thrilled with their bathroom remodel and the audience got some great ideas for updating their own homes.
