Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low quality materials, zero product support This faucet worked fine for about 3 years. After a while the handle loosened, so I tightened the set screw. The handle loosened again, but the set screw had welded itself into the handle and would neither loosen nor tighten. Used the faucet with a sloppy handle for a year or so, until the handle came off. If the handle were still available after 9 years I would count that as average service and just pay $40 for a kitchen faucet handle. As it is, there is no replacement part and an apparently low quality design. A house brand faucet would have provided 3 good years of service and 6 more limping along. Delta used to mean quality and availability of parts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor Durability Our faucet is six years old. I have replaced the cartridge twice and I am needing to replace it again. The Diamond Seal technology is not durable. After only two years, the cartridge begins to leak, resulting in a dripping faucet. I have also rebuilt the base, due to worn out O-rings caused by corrosion. To Delta's credit, all replacement parts have been covered by the lifetime warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The pull out sprayer is a nice touch Overall I like the faucet. Like the idea to fill the soap is on top not under the sink like the old ones. I have grandchildren and it is easy for them to use also. the only con is cleaning it. under the handle dirt collects easy. I would recommend the faucet with the pull out sprayer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet 16928-SSSD-DST The faucet is very easy to install. Delta customer service also sent a special wrench to me to help remove the nut of mounting bracket for the old faucet. I like the finish and the feature of the faucet. It looks great in my kitchen too. The Lifetime Warranty provides peace of mind. And Dalta's service has always been great. The only long term potential problem might be the swing mechanism. It was very smooth to move the faucet left and right after the installation. But now after 1.5 year, I can feel more resistance and it screeches a little bit sometimes. Hope it does not get stuck eventually.

I have this faucet installed on a 3 hole sink using the base plate. I am changing to an under mount sink and want to know if I can use this on

granite without the base plate. Do I need a special adaptor?
Asked by: GRANITE INSTALL
Hi Granite Install, Thank you for your question. The model 16928-SSSD-SDT can be installed without the 3 hole base plate/escutcheon. The faucet originally shipped with a 1 and a 3 hole escutcheon. The single hole escutcheon is still available as RP51490SS. http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=rp51490 Thanks, Dave

What are the advantages of using the base with a Model 16928-ssd

Currently I am using the deck mount style with my faucet. I am replacing my sink and was wondering if I should just use the center mount style to cut down on the number of holes in my new granite countertop. Please let me know if there are any potential advantages with using the mounting bracket or is it just a matter of preference. Thank you in advance for your help.
