Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great spray nozzle with strong magnet Easy installation. Only hard part was getting the old one off. I like how the magnet secured the spray nozzle in place. No problem of a dangling hose with this baby.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Has leaked since the day we got it! We have had the faucet for almost 6 months and it has leaked since the day we bought it. It has progressively gotten worse and we now have to replace a practically new faucet.

We bought this faucet 6 years ago. It has worked fine except there is some lime/calcium buildup around the base. What can we use to remove this hard buildup?

Asked by: Darcy
Hi, Darcy! Thank you for your question.Although our finishes are extremely durable, they may be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, we recommend simply wiping with a gentle damp cloth and then blotting dry with a soft towel. If water deposits are especially troublesome, you may use a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water to remove them. White vinegar is strong enough to dissolve mineral deposits, yet mild enough not to damage our finishes. Note: Please be aware white vinegar may stain some porous materials like untreated stone. If you have an unsealed tile or counter top, please take care when cleaning your products. If you’d prefer using a chemical cleaning product, our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner, Fantastic® All-Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturer’ instructions. Any cleaners not listed above may be tried if they do not contain hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids or similar caustic agents. Some examples of chemical cleaners to avoid are: green Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, and Soft Scrub and Tile Cleaner. Note: Any products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust will most likely harm the finished products. Most drain cleaners may be used when following their specific directions and not allowing exposure to the finish longer than 30 minutes. If you should need any assistance, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. I just got this, and noticed on the sprayer there are 3 options. A regular flow, a sprayer with small streams that wash off things, then a third that sprays wide in a circular pattern. What is this third option ideal for? I know it has a purpose.

Asked by: AaronJ
Hello AaronJ, Thank you for your question. The Delta Velino Pull-Down Kitchen 16971-SSSD-DST faucet comes with a 2 setting wand/sprayer assembly. However, the Delta Pull-Down Kitchen 19781Z-SPSD-DST faucet comes with a three function sprayer/wand assembly. The third feature is called the "ShieldSpray" Technology, it powers off the mess without making a mess, with it circular water flow pattern design. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/innovations/kitchen/shieldspray Best regards, Tanya

Repair parts

My faucet is approx. 5 years old. I'm not sure if I have the correct model, other than this view looks just like mine. Question is, it has started to drip occasionally. the handle must be perfectly aligned to stop the drip. which parts are most likely needed to get my faucet back to like new?
Asked by: dmjjj1
Hi, dmjjj1! Thank you for your question. There is a bonnet nut that is holding the cartridge down, underneath your handle. We recommend to tighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Tighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the unit still leaks, we recommend to replace the RP50587 valve cartridge assembly and the RP51503 bonnet nut. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does the Velino facet come in brushed nickel?

Just bought the 16971 velino but menards says stainless is essentially the same as brushed nickel. It says "brilliance stainless finish" on the box, but the plummer says I need ad brushed nickel finish. Is that available?
Asked by: Wally
Dear Wally, Thank you for your inquiry! The Brilliance Stainless Steel and Brushed Nickel finishes are very similar. Brushed Nickel has a slightly warmer color. However, the Delta Velino Pull-Down Kitchen 16971-SSSD-DST faucet is manufactured in the Brilliance Stainless Steel finish only. Best regards, Tanya

Can the Velino be increased to 2.2 gpm? If so, what is needed to do so?

Asked by: BT
Hi BT, Thank you for your question. The RP50815 aerator that comes with the model 16971-SSSD-DST is a full flow aerator. The water restriction is inside the wand itself, changing the aerator to a 2.2 gpm will not increase flow. Thanks, Dave

Does it spray on low pressure?

I would like to know if this or any arch type, pull down faucet you manufacture stays in "spray" position on low pressure (when faucet is on just a bit.) I have a MOEN and it always switches to straight flow as I bring the pressure down. I would like to rinse off pots and other items on "low" so I don't waste as much water! Please be detailed as possible. You can imagine that if I purchase one of these and install it based your response and it "switches" to straight flow on low, I'll be mighty upset... Perhaps the best way to ask the question is, will any of your models STAY in spray when you turn on and off? Thanks for the time. If you post my question, feel free to edit it to make sense. I did not quite know how to phrase my thoughts...
Asked by: pj
Hi PJ, Thank you for your question. The wand in the model 16971-SSSD-DST will stay in whatever mode that you choose. The wand toggles back and forth between spray and stream modes. It does not default to stream at low flow or at any flow rate until you choose to switch the flow pattern. When you shut the faucet off in spray mode, the wand will remain in spray mode when you turn the faucet back on. Thanks, Dave
