Remove Spout Instructions
Hello,
I saw the instructions to remove the spout: "first slide the spout bonnet up the spout and out of the way. Next slowly pry apart the spout retainer and remove it from the spout".
How exactly, should I pry apart the spout retainer? And, how should it be removed? Does it split open? Do I slide it up the spout?
Thanks.

I would like to add that the spout is held in place with only the pressure of the spout over the base with pressure from the O rings. There are two O rings on the base about 1.5 inches apart and the spout is slid up or down (depending if you are removing or replace the spout) over these. It took two of us pulling to separate the base from the spout as it had been there for 11 years and the O rings were dry and leaking. It easily went back on over the new O rings. Replaced the two O rings and it no longer leaks around the base. Good luck.

How do I remove the spout hose and are any special tools required?
I need to remove the spout hose from my 172 waterfall while performing some kitchen repairs. I have the wrench to re-install the nut on faucet assembly, but need to know how to properly dis-assemble the spout hose from the faucet.
Asked by: Steve
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your question! To remove the spout, first slide the sleeve up the spout to reveal the spout retainer. Remove the spout retainer clip by pulling it apart slightly at the gap in the ring. You can then swivel the spout back and forth as you lift up to remove it.
Best regards,
Jon

Which cam & packing should be used?
172, 174 Waterfall Series, which cam and packing should be used? RP61 with the little spring in it. So prior 2002 units with adjusting rings should all use this RP61, and remove the top adjusting ring?
Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question! The RP61 is the correct cam assembly for your faucet. The adjusting ring should not be used with the current version of the RP61.
Thanks,
Jon

Do I need to lube the RP22934 o-rings when replacing?
I have a 172BSWF faucet and am replacing the RP22934 o-rings you have supplied for the spout. Do they need to be lubricated or wetted in anyway when installing them and before putting back on the plastic spout retainer???
Your help is needed.
Thx, Ken

Hi Ken,
Thank you for your question! All of our parts are pre-lubricated at the factory. You will not need to apply any extra lubrication for a water-tight seal.
Thanks,
Jon

How to remnove the spout hose
My 172 faucet is leaking from the base of the spout. It looks like I need to remove the spout to get at the O-rings to replace them. The spout hose has the quick connect coupler, and I don't know how to remove the hose from the spout.
Asked by: Bob
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. To remove the spout on the model 172-WHWF you will first slide the spout bonnet up the spout and out of the way. Next slowly pry apart the spout retainer and remove it from the spout. At this point the spout can be lifted off and removed. Here is a link to the parts breakdown for your model to help with the repair.
