Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them We built a new home in 2004 with these faucets. I love them. They don't rust or corrode. My sprayer is metal so it must have changed over the years. We have had these for 14 years with no major problems. When there is a problem Delta fixes it. The finish is beautiful. I love the flush mount that doesn't require a metal surround. We did get the kitchen faucet upper replaced. I hung a wet dishrag on it and it ruined the finish. Delta sent me a new one , no questions asked. Now I just hang the rage over the sink divider. I especially love the warranty. I can't understand everyone being upset that they eventually leak. We have hard water and even the water softener can't get all the minerals out. Our faucets leak. Delta ships out the new parts free! DH puts them in. NOT HARD! I can't imagine expecting to not have leaking faucets. They do olast longer if you don't slam them off. Be gentle. As I said. 14 years and still in style and work great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Kitchen Faucet and fantastic warranty I have had this faucet for 10 years. Still looks great and when the sprayer and spout did not live up to my expectation it was easily replaced by calling the friendly customer service reps. A bit more up front but you get a lifetime warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be gentle with it This is a beautiful faucet, it's heavy and looks well constructed, but don't try yanking on the handles or spout. The valves don't require hard cranking to shut off, gently push them until they stop, they close easily and tightly. Haven't had any issues with leaks. Docking a star because the sprayer is made of plastic. For the price I expected better. The spout wiggles slightly in the vertical direction but no big deal there.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hot water leaking I love the look of this faucet and selected the same faucet for both my kitchen and bath since I have a 165 year old Victorian home. But now I cannot turn off the hot water all the way so it just drips, well really runs continuously. I paid top dollar for this faucet expecting it to last. Not sure if it can be fixed but too expensive to replace or call a plumber to find out!!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the SPRAYER IS PLASTIC!! It looks ok from the pictures and i guess the fixtures are metal but they sure are not brass. The spray nozzle looks like it would go on a Barbie sink. A cheap plastic white hose and the handle is completely plastic!@

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Faucet broke not long after having it installed We purchased this faucet when doing a kitchen renovation 11 years ago. A few years in we began having problems with the handles. Slowly over time they needed to be pushed further and further back to shut them off until finally they couldn't be shut off with the handles. My husband tried to readjust them with no luck. We called and were sent replacement parts but the issue occurred over time again. I now have a wrench on my sink to turn the faucet on and off. Very frustrating (not to mention how horrible it now looks with no handles and a wrench sitting on my counter). I feel the same as someone else who commented here to say they feel they need the same faucet because of the cut outs in their granite. Unfortunately, it is now cost prohibitive. I am so disappointed.

cold water Fawcett leaking/dripping. can you provide repair instructions?

Asked by: dumbone123
Hi, dumbone123. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. If the Delta 2256-DST faucet is leaking/dripping, we do recommend to replace the valve cartridge assembly. This part number is RP60400. To replace these parts, first turn the water off at your shut off valves. Remove the handles with a 1/8" allen wrench. Unscrew the bonnet nuts counterclockwise. Pull the cartridges straight out. Reinstall new cartridges. If this does not fix the issue, please contact us back. Best Regards, Rosanna

What is the part that the valve assembly sits in. Mine is stripped (by original builder) and the bonnet nut will not tighten.

Asked by: wodmike78
Hello Wodmike78, Thank you for your question. The stem/cartridge assembly sits in the valve body, that the bonnet then screws onto, to hold the stem/cartridge in place. Please see the Part Diagram below. Best regards, Tanya

Can I get a replacement handle or the white plastic piece inside the handle? If so, what would the part number be?

Asked by: AngieMJ
Hello AngieMJ, Thank you for your question. The white plastic insert on the underside of the handle is not sold as a separate part. The insert is not designed to be removed, it is machine pressed into the handle at the factory. The H216RB would be the need replace handle set for the Delta Victorian Kitchen 2256-RB-DST faucet model. Best regards, Tanya

Delta 2256-RB-DST has a 9" reach, is that measured from the back of the spout or from the middle of the shaft ? and is the 9" height to the top of the faucet or to the arm reaching into the sink

Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question, Bill! The spout reach is measured from the center of the aerator to the center of the faucet hub. The 9" height is from the the base of the faucet to the top of the spout finial. Best regards, Edward

wrong valve stem assembly

In your description for faucet 2256-RB-DST valve stem RP60400 is wrong. I have the same exact faucet as described but the part # for the valve assembly should be RP25513. I just received 2 of the wrong parts according to your diagram. RP60400 does not work on my 2256-RB-DST.
Asked by: Joe W
Thank you very much for this post Joe W.!!! I bought a pair of RP60400 and these are the wrong stem for my Model#: 2256-RB-DST as well. Your post is over a year old and Delta is still pointing their customers towards the wrong part even though DeltaFaucet3 acknowledged it's not the right part for every model of this faucet in the post above, not sure why they wouldn't offer both so customers would know to do a little research to determine which stem unit is right for them. It's really not even difficult to tell which you have once you take one out, the RP60400 and RP25513 look quite a bit different. I spoke with Delta customer service this evening and the rep told me he wouldn't be able to tell which stem I'd need because I couldn't tell him what kind of pipes I have coming out of the bottom of the faucet, I'd have to pull the sink or completely uninstall the faucet to see those little pipes that are up behind the sink; I am not doing that just to replace a stem. So again, I thank you kindly for your post, I googled the RP25513 that you called attention to and it looks identical to what's in my faucet so I am confident that's what I need as well.

How do I attach the spray part?

We got the faucet installed, but how does the spray part attach, is there a special attachment that we needed to order or was there something that was suppose to come with it.
Asked by: mandi
Hi, Mandi! Thank you for your question. The hose connects directly into the valve end of the spout under the sink. Push up until you hear a click. Pull down to make sure the hose is secured. Best Regards, Rosanna
