Rated 3 out of 5 by from Faucet broke not long after having it installed We purchased this faucet when doing a kitchen renovation 11 years ago. A few years in we began having problems with the handles. Slowly over time they needed to be pushed further and further back to shut them off until finally they couldn't be shut off with the handles. My husband tried to readjust them with no luck. We called and were sent replacement parts but the issue occurred over time again. I now have a wrench on my sink to turn the faucet on and off. Very frustrating (not to mention how horrible it now looks with no handles and a wrench sitting on my counter). I feel the same as someone else who commented here to say they feel they need the same faucet because of the cut outs in their granite. Unfortunately, it is now cost prohibitive. I am so disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot faucet leaking The hot side faucet is leaking and the main stem is loose on our Victorian Two Handle Widespread Kitchen Faucet with Spray. The leak comes out of the handle near where it mounts to the sink. It only leaks when the faucet is turned on. The description says it should last twice as long as the industry standard but it does not seem like it. I don't have the original box - what is the warranty coverage?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drip, Drip, Drip, Drip...... I have had this faucet since remodel in 2007. At first it needed annual repairs for slight drip, now it seems to be every three months. The only good news I'm getting very fast are replacing the seats and springs

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied We purchased this faucet for our kitchen during a kitchen remodel back in 2006 and have had to have a plumber out multiple times due to dripping. A couple of years ago, Delta sent us new parts to have it repaired once again and would only guarantee if using their parts, and here we are again with kitchen faucet dripping and it's been dripping for about the last 6 months as we ponder what to do since nothing seems to work. Because of my granite cut outs, I feel that I have to keep the same set up and when shopping, selection is very limited. I still love the look of my Delta faucet and would love to keep it as there is absolutely nothing else wrong with it...no discoloring, nicks, nothing, it's perfect, except for the drip. I don't recommend this and I obviously don't still have my purchase receipt etc.... I would try new Delta parts again, but I'm not sure what to do as a plumber is expensive and fixing a leak that may not stay fixed is frustrating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really liked it until.... Just over the 5 year warranty and the spray came apart, leaks around the aerator and the finish hasn't lasted, pealing or coming off in spots...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Original was good. Replacement not the same product. This fixture was in our home that was built in 2005. We purchased the home in 2012. Faucet worked fine for first 2 1/2 years then the sprayer broke. I just chalked it up to it being almost 10 years old. Had a friend who works at a plumbing supply store replace with same fixture. It took him over 2 hours to install. New sprayer never would stay flush with the counter top now the cold water handle will rotate, with force, sometimes will not turn on at all. The water pressure is also significantly diminished compared to the original faucet. Maybe because original model wasn't water efficient? We have a smaller sink in our breakfast bar, same Delta line, installed in 2005, water flow is great. Not happy with this faucet at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This faucet will force you to become a plumber. This faucet was installed in 2005 when our home was built. Every year since, one or more of the components has started leaking. I honestly cannot believe this thing is still in production. Normally, the hot or cold will start to drip. This time, the hot side is dripping and the main body is now leaking on the counter. Stay as far away from this product as possible! Unless of course, you want to become a plumber.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We moved into a house that has this faucet and I find that it is not practical. The newer faucets have a higher curve to them and/or a pullout function, which makes cleaning a breeze. I find that because this faucet is primarily straight, it hinders cleaning medium to larger items. Also, the pressure filter inside is difficult to find parts for and the faucet has developed a drip. The look and overall quality of this faucet seem higher, but I'm disappointed and the house is only 12 years old.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stay away The sprayer broke, the spout came apart during use and then started leaking. Had to wrap a cloth around it to keep it from leaking all over the counter. Now the one of the handles is leaking also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Beautiful We purchased this for our Victorian House. It was installed by my son and grandson in May. The installation was quite simple. The faucet works well and is high quality. We are so happy with it. I would recommend this, even if you don't have a Victorian house.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Replaced 8 year old original with the same product - I THOUGHT The orignal Delta2256-ss-dst ( that we purchased 8 years ago) bolts could not be undone while trying to replace the spray nozzle) - so we had to sear it off with a jig saw blade. We purchased the same model not realizing it's no where near the same quality and the store Gray-Hodges would not take it back. No instructions came in the box (a bit different than the original). Store told us no warranty for our problem. Will never purchase a Delta anything again.

Delta 2256-RB-DST has a 9" reach, is that measured from the back of the spout or from the middle of the shaft ? and is the 9" height to the top of the faucet or to the arm reaching into the sink

Asked by: Bill
Thank you for your question, Bill! The spout reach is measured from the center of the aerator to the center of the faucet hub. The 9" height is from the the base of the faucet to the top of the spout finial. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-2256-DST%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Edward

Can the Delta 2256 be installed without the spray?

I have a Delta 2256 with spray, but I don't want the spray installed. Can my plumber install the faucet without the spray?
Asked by: Joe
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 2256-RB-DST does not have to have the sprayer installed. There is a clip that can be used to cap off the sprayer connection.

wrong valve stem assembly

In your description for faucet 2256-RB-DST valve stem RP60400 is wrong. I have the same exact faucet as described but the part # for the valve assembly should be RP25513. I just received 2 of the wrong parts according to your diagram. RP60400 does not work on my 2256-RB-DST.
Asked by: Joe W
Thank you very much for this post Joe W.!!! I bought a pair of RP60400 and these are the wrong stem for my Model#: 2256-RB-DST as well. Your post is over a year old and Delta is still pointing their customers towards the wrong part even though DeltaFaucet3 acknowledged it's not the right part for every model of this faucet in the post above, not sure why they wouldn't offer both so customers would know to do a little research to determine which stem unit is right for them. It's really not even difficult to tell which you have once you take one out, the RP60400 and RP25513 look quite a bit different. I spoke with Delta customer service this evening and the rep told me he wouldn't be able to tell which stem I'd need because I couldn't tell him what kind of pipes I have coming out of the bottom of the faucet, I'd have to pull the sink or completely uninstall the faucet to see those little pipes that are up behind the sink; I am not doing that just to replace a stem. So again, I thank you kindly for your post, I googled the RP25513 that you called attention to and it looks identical to what's in my faucet so I am confident that's what I need as well.

I have an older modle that uses a different Aerator and wrench how can I replace

How do I remove Aerator ?your current wrench will not remove Aerator I have in your older model which is 8 years old .
Asked by: Dale Sedgwick
Thank you for your question, Dale. Previous versions of this model (2256-RBLHP) did not have a cache aerator. The entire aerator, including the finished spout tip unscrewed from the spout. It can usually be removed by hand, but a flat rubber jar opener may help. Best regards, Jon

Can you get this with stems longer than 2 1/2 inches because our counter sits on top of a farm sink?

Asked by: Pam
Hi Pam, Thank you for your question. The model 2256-RB-DST has a max deck thickness of 2-1/2". Unfortunately we do not offer an extension kit for this model that will resolve your issue. Thanks, Dave

Can I get a replacement handle or the white plastic piece inside the handle? If so, what would the part number be?

Asked by: AngieMJ
Hello AngieMJ, Thank you for your question. The white plastic insert on the underside of the handle is not sold as a separate part. The insert is not designed to be removed, it is machine pressed into the handle at the factory. The H216RB would be the need replace handle set for the Delta Victorian Kitchen 2256-RB-DST faucet model. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=H216RB Best regards, Tanya
