Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adequate but not extraordinary This unit replaced a six year-old kitchen faucet set. The modern design blends in very well with the granite counter. The wrist handles are about a 1/2 inch shorter than the handles of the previous set and I feel they are not as easy to grab. The shower nozzle is very light, easy to extend, and use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product We have installed onto granite countertop with no issues after years. Looks great and cleans well. I called Delta to buy a replacement aerator and Delta is sending for zero cost. Great Service!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty, but I love the way this faucet looks in my kitchen and it is of fine integrity. The sprayer, however, is very cheap and wobbly. It is not as nice as the faucet and the handles. Also, the left handles on my assembly comes loose with use and has to be tightened regularly. It is annoying to spend a good sum for rather cheaply made products. Come on Delta.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from yes totally worth the money I love this faucet. Exceptionally beautiful, even prettier than the picture. The faucet is well made and moves smoothly. The finish holds up well against our hard water and that is impressive. This faucet is totally worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delta Pilar faucet This faucet was specifically chosen because it had a separate hot and cold water handle. It was installed in a kosher kitchen where the client specified two handles to make it easier for the Sabbath when hot water is not used. The faucet fulfilled this requirement while still fitting into the design scheme as a contemporary styled faucet. My client was extremely pleased with our choice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Splashes too much I have this faucet since January. Initially I liked the tall faucet and that it moved a lot from side to side. But this faucet splashes too much. Whenever I put anything under the flow, whether a high flow or low, the counter around the sink gets all wet. I'm pretty annoyed by it already.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A couple of things The spout seems loose like it needs a gasket in the space between the base and the spout. The spout can wobble, even though the base is tight to the sink. The other thing is the water pressure is not as strong as with the previous faucet. Is there a flow restrictor in the spout?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look I have used my new faucet for two weeks now. Love how it all works with ease. It is so easy to keep clean.

What is the recommended spacing for the distance in between components of this faucet set? IE, handles to the faucet, to the sprayer.

I have to give the measurements to the granite manufacturer who is also installing the sink. It's described by Delta as "4-hole 6-16" installation". Is 6" the minimum recommended spacing between the trim components, IE, handle to spout to handle to sprayer? Thank you, Daryl
Asked by: Daryl
Dear Daryl, Thank you for your question. The Delta Pilar Kitchen 2480-AR-DST faucet is a 4-hole 6-16" installation. This measures from center of one handle to the center of the other. Please see Technical Specifications document below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-2480-DST%20Rev%20D.pdf Best regards, Tanya

I installed the faucets backwards , the faucet opens out from the spout.is there a way to swap them without physically removing them? I have done this on a Chicago faucet by flipping over a part on top of the cartridge,is this possible with delta?

Asked by: Jim a
Hello Jim a, Thank you for your inquiry! We would advised repositioning the stem assemblies and quarter turn stops under the handles. Here are the a step by step walk thru on how to install each stem unit and 1/4 turn stop. I hope the information is helpful. Hot side ~ The stem unit will go into the valve with the raised white portion of the stem toward the spout. When you install the stem into the valve, you should notice 2 notches in the brass valve body. The stem unit will have a piece in each side that will fit into the notches. These notches should be facing the 3 and 9 o'clock position, if you imagine a clock face. With the stem installed in the valve, you will need to insert the 1/4 turn stop into the slot in the front of the stem unit. Now you will want to tighten down the bonnet nut that screws onto the valve body. Once the nut is hand tight, you might need to reposition the brass arm that is straight up and down on the stem unit. The flat part of this arm should be facing away from the spout. So it should be in the 9 o'clock position. You can rotate this arm by grabbing a hold of it and just twisting it. Once you have it in the 9 o'clock position, you should be able to reinstall the handle and tighten the setscrew. Now when you turn the handle, it should turn toward you. Cold side ~ The stem unit will go into the valve with the raised white part away from the spout. So if you image a clock, the white piece of the stem will be facing the 3 o'clock position. Again, the stem should fit into the two notches at the 3 and 9 o'clock position. The 1/4 turn stop will actually be installed the the back side of the stem. Once that is installed, you can tighten the bonnet nut over the valve and screw it down just hand tight. Grab a hold of the brass arm and twist it until the flat part is facing away from the spout. Again, it will be in the 3 o'clock position just like the white part of the stem. Once that is facing the correct direction, you should be able to install the handle and turn it toward you. Best regards, Tanya

What stainless alloy is used in the stainless steel version of 2408-DST?

What stainless alloy is used in the stainless steel version of this Pilar faucet, 2480-DST? I have been reading about my new stainless steel sink, which is 304 (18/8) stainless steel and I am wondering if this is the same alloy, with its sensitivity to the chloride ion. I installed my faucet a few weeks ago and am quite pleased with it.
Asked by: DanVA
Dear DanVA, Thank you for your inquiry! Our Arctic Stainless finish is similar to a brushed soft satin finish. The faucet is not actually made of Stainless Steel. The spout, handles, and valve assemblies on the model 2480-DST are made of brass. Best regards, Tanya

Can I hook a portable dishwasher to this faucet?

I am not quite ready for remodeling the whole kitchen. Is there a way for me to hook my portable dishwasher to this faucet? Is there a part I should order? Thank you!
Asked by: Viovio
Hi Viovio, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 2480-DST has a metric aerator that measures M21.5 X1-6 and will need an adapter to convert it to a 55/64" aerator. This adapter is model RP51505. If your dishwasher will work with a 55/64" aerator, then you should be fine. Thanks. Jody

can I use different handels with this model cross handles for example

Asked by: usta
Hi Usta, Thank you for your question. The faucet models that allow you to select the style of handle that you want is our LHP, less handle program. The model number of the faucet will include LHP and offer several handle styles. There is not currently a cross handle available for the DST faucets. Thanks, Dave

Strength of flow is too much

The flow from the faucet is too powerful and it splashes up out of the sink. How can we lessen the force? Is there an accessory to ease the flow or an adjustment that we can make? We are considering returning the faucet as we are not happy with it.
Asked by: Scott
Thank you for your question. I apologize for the issue you are experiencing. If the splash is too much out of the spout, you can purchase an aerator that will reduce the flow. The gpm on your faucet now is 1.5 gpm. We have two aerators that will reduce the flow. Delta Faucet part # RP63886 is a 1.0 gpm aerator and Delta Faucet part # RP60729 is a .5 gpm aerator. If the problem of splashing is from your sprayer, the only way to reduce this is to not turn on the water to the highest flow.
