Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks great but Nice looking faucet but not crazy about the handle having to be centered before you can shut water off. Should shut off from any position pulling handle down, When you devise a cartridge that does this, please let me know. Thanks, Ken

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just OK I would have given this faucet a better review BUT, there is something odd about the faucet handle design. I have walked away from my sink quite a few times thinking I had fully turned off the faucet only to discover it was dripping and or still running. It is difficult to tell by feel if this faucet handle is fully turned off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from shut Leaking After 9 Months Purchased this faucet 9 months and had it installed by a professional plumber. Always have purchased Delta products. This faucet has become hard to turn off. Will cut off only if it is pushed to the right and gently pulled down. If handle is in center or on the left, faucet will drip or have a steady stream. Disappointed in the quality. First time I have ever had a problem with Delta products. Will be expensive to have plumber come out to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth operation! I bought this about a month ago and like the single handle, the spray is great and it's a great replacement for what I had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic look The faucet is a beautiful brushed nickel finish with matching spray. It blends nicely with the stainless sink.It was purchased to replace a faucet of the same look. The lever handle is easy to use and operates smoothly as does the matching spray. The best feature is the lifetime warranty.I couldn’t be more pleased.

Do all versions have plastic tubes?

I recently bought this from Lowes. The faucet itself seems decent but it mounts to the sink top with plastic tubes and washers. I'm wondering if other models of this faucet, bought at a showroom instead of a box store, will have metal legs to mount it or if they are all plastic.
Asked by: poppameth
Thank you for your question. The mounting shanks on your Delta Faucet model 400-SS-DST-L are a very durable plastic. They are there for a lighter weight faucet but will hold up as well as or better than metal shanks. We still use metal shanks on some of our faucet but if it has the exact same model number as your faucet, it will have the plastic shanks, no matter where it is sold.

Connecting an appliance

Can I attach a small single hose inlet portable clothes washer to this faucet?
Asked by: Wxyz
Hello K, Thank you for your question. A hose can be attached to the faucet, but an appropriately sized adapter will need to be used. Best Regards, Courtney

installing a delta 400-dst-l , spray hose leaking , does not leak with the plug in the hose end end goes in and clip shuts tight. need a hint or two.

Asked by: Bruce
Thank you for your question Bruce. There is a small o-ring that goes on the end of the hose assembly. If this have been damaged or accidentally removed, it will not seal properly and can lead to a leak. This part is available to order as part number RP10345. If you have any questions or need assistance with this part, please contact us at 1-800-345-3358 Monday-Friday: 8a.m.-8p.m. EST and Saturday: 9a.m.-6p.m. EST or via email at Below is a link to the parts diagram for your model. how do you replace valve assembly

Asked by: Bud
Hi Bud, Thank you for your question. To access the RP50587 valve assembly in the model 400-DST-L you will first need to shut off the water supply to the faucet. You will then to remove the handle by removing the set screw on the front of the handle. Next unscrew the cap and bonnet. Once these parts are removed you will be able to replace the valve assembly. Here is a link for the How to video for replacing the diamond seal technology cartridge. Thanks, Dave

How long are the supply lines from sink top to end?

Asked by: Hazfran
I just recently replaced my kitchen faucet. I reinstalled another Delta faucet. The supply lines on the new faucet were about 2 ft or more in length. More than enough to reach the cut-off valves at the bottom of my kitchen sink cabinet.

Delta Kitchen Faucet Model 400

I must have an old model because those two copper tubes at the bottom have a flat end. Are they required to be soldered? Or, is there a way to connect them to the cold/hot water lines without soldering? Thanks a lot.
Asked by: Virgie
You might need to upgrade the valves which the tubes attach to. A plumber can surely assist.
