Beautiful topper to my sink
It's been two weeks and I still love my new faucet. The finish on it is just what I was looking for (special order). The spray vs stream button works great. The handle operation is smooth and it's easy to control the flow. Love the curved lines on it. Hose pulls out and retracts smoothly when I need to use it.

Poor quality
The pull-out sticks and is difficult to use. The spray holes are so small when you turn it on it goes everywhere. The securing gasket for the water line easily comes undone (causing water to flood all over and, in my case, into the floor and lower level ceiling).
It looks nice but is barely functional. Disappointing.

Beautiful design, sturdy with weight to it.
Purchased to replace a faucet that was leaking. This one is more beautiful in design and so much sturdier. I love the fact that it comes with a limited lifetime warranty and also that parts are readily available when necessary. My plumber highly recommended Delta faucets, and I am so glad he did.

Looks good, works good, just what we wanted.
had it installed during the virus warning not to let anyone in your house.
I had it installed for a right handed person but now almost wish it would have been left handed. If you have your glass in your right hand you have to reach across to turn the water on.

Delta 4197
Have had this faucet for about 3 years. For 2 1/2 of those years we have been unable to slide the nozzle back into the mounted part of the faucet for fear of not being able to get it back out or breaking it. The O rings failed after having it for a little over 6 months. We finally found some to replace them, and have had to a couple of other times since, but that’s when the problems with replacing the nozzle started. We have also had problems with the metal piece at the top of the hose coming loose and leaking into our under sink cabinet. I would like to know how these problems can be resolved, because I love the looks of the faucet. It is just the look I wanted for my newly remodeled kitchen, and we’re very happy with the quality and the way it works other than the problems mentioned above.

Looks great, BUT.....

Kitchen Sink Faucet
I'm impressed with the apparent quality from viewing it. It is larger than I expected.
There needs to be more warnings that it does NOT come with the necessary estuchion tube as many customers are not aware they need this for a kit. sink faucet installation.

Beautiful!
When my old kitchen faucet started leaking, I was ready for an upgrade! After a little searching, I found this Delta faucet. I wanted the oil-rubbed bronze to match some other features in our home. I'm very happy with it! It's just what I wanted!

Beautiful faucet but falling apart
I had an extensive kitchen remodel done a couple of years ago, and selected this faucet based on its style and functionality. The sprayer does not fit snuggly to the base. In addition, an O-ring in the sprayer failed within the first month and a replacement sprayer was provided. Recently, one of the supply lines started to leak which caused extensive damage to the interior of the custom cabinetry as well as the flooring near the sink. The leak was not discovered until I noticed water dripping from the basement ceiling. This is very disappointing considering the cost of the faucet and now the added costs to cover the water damage.

Both Beautiful and Functional
This faucet was exactly what I was looking for - Beautifully designed and sturdy as well. I chose the oil rubbed bronze model and the finish is rich in color and flawless. The pull-out feature is smooth as is the transition from stream to spray. In my humble opinion this faucet can compete on every level with brands that are three times the price - Go Delta!

Frustrated
We bought this faucet online in January because we are remodeling our kitchen and I wanted one with magnetic docking. I loved the look of this faucet and in bold lettering in the heading and again in the description it said it has magnetic docking. We just got it installed and it either doesn't have magnetic docking or it doesn't work. Since we've had the faucet 90 days we cant return it even though it was advertised incorrectly. It is a pretty faucet but frustrated it doesn't have the features we specifically bought it for.

Love the design!
We finally got the faucet installed after ordering both it and a sink. We love the looks of the faucet. Hoping the quality lives up to the brand name, have heard some disheartening things about it. It's definitely a right-handed faucet! There was no aerator wrench in the box along with the faucet, so I contacted Delta via their website and had a brand new aerator and wrench in about a week! Impressed with the turnaround! The pull out spray makes things easier in the kitchen!

Beautiful faucet with a lot of issues
I bought this faucet because I love the look of it, and I love the champagne bronze color. However, it has been one problem after the other. Initially, the hose frayed. Delta was good with replacing the hose, but you have to put it in yourself, and although it doesn't require a plumber, it's not that easy. After that, the hose started to leak from where you pull the handle out. They sent me a new hose which has a different attachment. That hose has just started fraying, so they are sending me another hose, and another part that they think might be the issue as to why the hose is fraying. It is close to where the spray pulls out, so it's not rubbing on anything underneath. I have never had this issue with any other faucet before. It's a very expensive faucet, and it should have been designed much better!

Perfect for our kitchen

Obviously a design flaw!
I bought this faucet and am having the same issue with the nozzle sliding back into the mount piece. I really like the look, but I am afraid that I am going to break my rather pricey faucet. My brother and sister-in-law have the same faucet and they advised they are having the same issue with theirs. Obviously a design flaw. Please let me know what you can do to resolve the situation.

Hardly a Lifetime of Reliable Performance
I bought this Delta Cassidy pull out sprayer faucet in Feb. 2017 and it's already failing. It's clogged, I have little water pressure, and I know it isn't the pipes since when I changed out the old faucet for this one, the pressure was about three times better than it had been. The difference was astounding. So it was the faucet that was the problem last time, and it's the faucet that's the problem again this time, and it only took a year and nine months to clog (it has been this way for about a month now). Delta advertises this as "lifetime of Reliable Performance as well as self cleaning and it's neither.

Great looking but horrible construction
I purchased 8 eight faucets for my house during a remodel, the bathroom, wet bar and pot fillers have been amazing and beautiful, however the pull out of the 4197-pn-dst is cheaply made and has leaked at a plastic to stainless hose connection and warped the bottom of all the new cabinetry. the o rings that hold the sprayer in place also get worn out and the faucet is hard to remove or put back in after the first year.

Love the look of it!
I’ve had this faucet for about 2 years now and the problems I’ve had with it is that pulling it out from the spout is so extremely hard that a piece of plastic from inside the spray arm broke off that holds the hose to the handle now separates when you pull it out of the base/and water sprays every where (but if I do it ever so gently it stays together) and now the metal end of the hose that meets a piece of plastic has been leaking for such a long time that I just notice the old dog bowl that was thankfully there has been collecting water for so long that the “stainless” bowl has rust on it (which tells me that it’s been leaking from day one). Going to give them a call tomorrow and rectify the proble. I’ll keep you updated if I can!

This faucet is definitely one of my biggest regrets from our kitchen renovation. I was attracted to the style of it, but it is not functional. It is very large and sticks out quite far into the sink basin. But, the biggest problem is that, after you pull out the sprayer, it is very hard to get it to fit back into the faucet. You really have to force it in to get it to stay put. Otherwise, it kind of dangles from the faucet. Then, when you need to use the sprayer again, you have to forcibly yank it out. Because of all this yanking, the actual faucet keeps loosening from the counter and twisting around. My husband has to go under the sink to tighten the screws about once a month, and they are now almost stripped. So, now we just leave the sprayer dangling out. This is disappointing, because this was not an inexpensive faucet.

High Quality
The plumber we hired to install our new kitchen faucet gave it very high praise. This is a beautiful faucet that works perfectly. My only comment is, it's a warm colored chrome finish. For some reason I was expecting a "brushed" warm nickel finish... somewhat "satin". But, it's chrome. Completely smooth and shiny. I know I just misunderstood so I'm living with my choice and enjoying it anyway.

Would you call this faucet a brushed chrome or brushed nickle
I am trying to match pendant lights with the faucet. All lights are either brushed chrome or brushed nickle. The faucet is called stainless.

Thank you for your question. This finish is called Arctic Stainless. It is neither a 'Brushed Nickel' or a 'Brushed Chrome' finish. It is a matte finish with a tint of blue. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones.

Re Cassidy kitchen faucet, I have a replacement retainer part that Delta supplied. How do u replace this part?
Thank you for your question, Karen! The RP73942 retainer can be reached by first turning the water supplies to the faucet completely off, next remove the wand from the pull-out hose. You will then need to lift the top portion of the spout up and off, while pulling the hose through. The retainer will pull straight out of the lower portion of the spout and off of the hose. Now you can install the new retainer, threading the hose through it, until it sits inside the spout base as well as the upper spout segment. You can not screw the wand back on and turn on the shut-off supplies. Please let us know if you have any questions or need assistance.

Hot/Cold lever seems backward
We just built our new home and had this faucet installed. I love the classy look and cross handles we chose; however the lever that controls the hot and cold seems backwards to me. When it is lying down toward me, I can see the letter "C". I would assume this means "Cold" but when I turn it on in that position the water is hot. Vice versa the other way. My husband checked the water lines and they are connected blue to cold and red to hot so that is not the issue. Is this just how the lever is designed?

Thank you for your question. Rotating the handle backwards toward the C will provide cold water. Rotating it forward toward the H will increase the temperature.
