Rated 1 out of 5 by from No great Bought few years ago It never worked always leeks unless you fiddle with it and get it in perfect position

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't stand up to Delta's reputation I bought this a few years ago. From day 1 it had a low flow rate, which I just "lived with". Then the side sprayer started to stick while on. I finally replaced that. And recently over that past few months, the water doesn't not shut off completely when pulling the handle down. You have to find an EXACT position, after half a dozen tries or more. Quite frustrating and after reading the other reviews, this seems to be common in this model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to turn off, major pain I've had this faucet for about 3 months. When you pull the handle forward to shut off the water, it still leaks. You have to move the handle to the left just a certain amount to get it to shut off. It has to be in the EXACT location, or the water will still run. i now check it when i have to get up in the middle of the night. It's been that way from the day I installed it. I don't know if they are all bad, or just the one I have. Very disappointed in Delta.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Attractive look, subpar life expectancy Attractive looking faucet, that doesn't last. From the beginning, this faucet has had issues when shutting off the water, especially from hot. Many times I've found the faucet running or dripping. To turn off the water, you have to adjust the handle to pinpoint the exact spot to shut the water off. Constantly adjusting the handle each time the water is shutoff is very frustrating. The handle has become stiff, and squeaks when moved between hot and cold, along with a slight leak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, Doesn't work too good. I wrote a review of this faucet and gave it one star. Delta sent me some parts to rebuild the unit and now it works perfectly. Cant figure out how to append my original review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with this faucet. Have had this faucet a little over a year, the sprayer sticks in the on position, water is hard to turn off as the handle has to be in just the right position. Find the water streaming quite often as my wife has a hard time turning it off. Have used Delta faucets all 53 years we have been married and have been very pleased until this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value, Easy to install Easy to install, works well, wish the hose for sprayer was a bit longer, but for the price this is a good faucet set.

How do I remove the aereator from the faucet?

We have hard water minerals that build up over time in the aereators and have to clean them from time to time. This faucet does not have the type of aereator we are accustomed to. We just had it installed. Please advise.
Asked by: Grans
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 4453-DST has a cache aerator that is hidden from view. It does require a special wrench that is included with your faucet when you purchase it. If this wrench has been lost, you can order another one through your local wholesaler or retailer. The part number is RP52217.

faucet and handle are misaligned

Just bought a home, it has this faucet installed. The faucet and the handle are misaligned, with the handle turned to the right by about 30-45 degrees. I was able to remove the lever by loosening the setscrew, but was not able to determine how to rotate the cap/bonnet/valve so that the handle would be aligned with the faucet. Ideas? It works fine, just bugs me about the alignment thing
Asked by: bob
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. The position of the handle is determined by the installation of the valve. The valve body can be aligned by loosening the mounting screws and nut under the sink, rotating the faucet, and then re-tightening the nut. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/4453-ar-dst.html?document=mi&fromDetailArea=kitchen&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Best regards, Jon

Does the handle swivel to the right and left for cold and hot water and can you adjust for warm water

4453-AR-DST. Am thinking about buying this one but have this big concern. Also I have 2" space between raised countertop and faucet handle I have now. Specs say need 2 1/2. If handle swivels, would this still be a problem?
Asked by: Pat
Hi Pat, Thank you for your question. The handle will tilt up to turn the water on and right/left to adjust the temperature. We recommend that there be 2 1/2" from the center of the faucet to the back splash. Please see the Technical Specifications for this and other measurements: https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-1353-DST%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Jon

I tried all of the adapters that came with the kit plus extra ones that PUR gave me but none are exactly right. Is there one available for this faucet?

Can I order the 2.2 gpm aerator (RP46117)?

For faucet 4453-ss-dst - Linden series ? I want more water flow. This comes with a 1.8 aerator and I want to change over to the 2.2. Will it fit this faucet? Will It take a different wrench than the one that came in the box?
Asked by: Doug
Hi Doug, Thank you for your question. The RP46117 will not work in the model 4453-SS-DST, the thread patterns on the cache aerators are different. RP64078 with a 2.2gpm flowrate will work for you. Thanks, Dave

Faucet Finishes

I have a 4453-AR, I'm not sure of the finish that I have. I need to order a single mount escutcheon & gasket. What is the difference between the stainless steel and the arctic stainless steel. The pictures don't show enough detail for me to identify which I have. I updating counter tops and want to have a single mount. I can take a photo of what I have if that will help. Thanks in advance.
Asked by: RLB
Hi RLB, Thank you for your question. The AR in the model number stands for the arctic finish, SS would be the brilliance stainless. The SS finish has a gold hue to it, comparable to brushed nickel. The arctic stainless has a blue tint that matches with stainless appliances. The part for the single mount would be the RP60692AR. Thanks, Dave

Water supply adaptor

I am installing a Linden touch kitchen faucet and the water supply connections are too small. My water supply hoses are 3/4 and the Linden is 1/2. Do you have an adaptor kit? Jeff Laszlo Kennesaw, GA
Asked by: Jeff
Hi Jeff, Thank you for your question. The supply lines that come with the faucet are 3/8" compression threads. They are made to attach directly to the shut off valves/ water stops under the sink. In your picture you are trying to connect them to your 1/2" faucet supply line. Check the other end where your existing supply line attaches to the shut off. Most often if you remove your supply line the new line from the faucet will make that connection. If you have to attach to your existing faucet supply line you will need a 1/2" MIP to 3/8" compression adapter to make the connection. We do not offer this adapter. The adapter should be available at your local hardware or home center. Thanks, Dave

Is there any type of adjustment on this faucet it is either scalding or freezing cold?

Asked by: Jessycae
Hi Jessycae, Thank you for your question. The easiest way to get warm water is to start out at a high flow of water with the handle pushed all the way back and set to your desired temperature. Then pull the handle forward to the lower water volume. Thanks, Dave

is there a water filter available anywhere for this faucet? Thank you, Bob Gettling

Asked by: Bob
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, we do not make water filters for this unit. However, you should be able to find water filters locally at a plumbing or hardware store. You may also need to adapt the spout to work with the filter. If so, the spout has 13/16"-27 female threads. Thanks, Jon
