Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't stand up to Delta's reputation I bought this a few years ago. From day 1 it had a low flow rate, which I just "lived with". Then the side sprayer started to stick while on. I finally replaced that. And recently over that past few months, the water doesn't not shut off completely when pulling the handle down. You have to find an EXACT position, after half a dozen tries or more. Quite frustrating and after reading the other reviews, this seems to be common in this model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to turn off, major pain I've had this faucet for about 3 months. When you pull the handle forward to shut off the water, it still leaks. You have to move the handle to the left just a certain amount to get it to shut off. It has to be in the EXACT location, or the water will still run. i now check it when i have to get up in the middle of the night. It's been that way from the day I installed it. I don't know if they are all bad, or just the one I have. Very disappointed in Delta.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Attractive look, subpar life expectancy Attractive looking faucet, that doesn't last. From the beginning, this faucet has had issues when shutting off the water, especially from hot. Many times I've found the faucet running or dripping. To turn off the water, you have to adjust the handle to pinpoint the exact spot to shut the water off. Constantly adjusting the handle each time the water is shutoff is very frustrating. The handle has become stiff, and squeaks when moved between hot and cold, along with a slight leak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, Doesn't work too good. I wrote a review of this faucet and gave it one star. Delta sent me some parts to rebuild the unit and now it works perfectly. Cant figure out how to append my original review.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good, Doesn't work too good. I've had this faucet for 7 years. When you pull the handle forward to shut off the water, it still leaks. You have to move the handle to the left just a certain amount to get it to shut off. It has to be in the EXACT location, or the water will still run. If it's left or right three microns, it still runs. I've walked in the kitchen thousands of times to see the water still on. It's been that way from the day I installed it. I don't know if they are all bad, or just the one I have. I have a bathroom faucet from Delta that does the same thing. Bad engineering I'm thinking. Very disappointed in Delta.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with this faucet. Have had this faucet a little over a year, the sprayer sticks in the on position, water is hard to turn off as the handle has to be in just the right position. Find the water streaming quite often as my wife has a hard time turning it off. Have used Delta faucets all 53 years we have been married and have been very pleased until this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value, Easy to install Easy to install, works well, wish the hose for sprayer was a bit longer, but for the price this is a good faucet set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta is reliable and easy to service, if necessary I purchased this faucet to install in my craft and painting shop. I usually avoid single handle faucets, but this one operates very efficiently. The faucet serves a double utility sink, so with the separate side spray, the water reaches to all areas as needed. Delta makes and reliable product which most plumbers prefer to more upscale products.

The sprayer button gets stuck in the on position. I have to pull the button out to stop the flow. Is there a way to repair/clean the button so it works? Or will it need to be replaced?

Need a one hole baseplate vs current three hole plate.

Having new granite counters installed with under mount sink. Installer told me to ask Delta for a one-hole faucet base plate in lieu of the current three-hole faucet base plate. This is regarding our Delta faucet 4453-RB-DST 1-handle faucet with spray.

Can the faucet be installed without the escutcheon plate?

I.e., a single-hole installation (plus a 2nd hole for the side sprayer)
Asked by: RiponEric
Hi RiponEric, Thank you for your question. You can install the model 4453-DST faucet without the 3 hole escutcheon plate using the RP60692 single hole escutcheon. The faucet can be installed as a 2 or 4 hole installation with the side sprayer. Thanks, Dave

faucet and handle are misaligned

Just bought a home, it has this faucet installed. The faucet and the handle are misaligned, with the handle turned to the right by about 30-45 degrees. I was able to remove the lever by loosening the setscrew, but was not able to determine how to rotate the cap/bonnet/valve so that the handle would be aligned with the faucet. Ideas? It works fine, just bugs me about the alignment thing
Asked by: bob
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. The position of the handle is determined by the installation of the valve. The valve body can be aligned by loosening the mounting screws and nut under the sink, rotating the faucet, and then re-tightening the nut. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/4453-ar-dst.html?document=mi&fromDetailArea=kitchen&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Best regards, Jon

Does the handle swivel to the right and left for cold and hot water and can you adjust for warm water

4453-AR-DST. Am thinking about buying this one but have this big concern. Also I have 2" space between raised countertop and faucet handle I have now. Specs say need 2 1/2. If handle swivels, would this still be a problem?
Asked by: Pat
Hi Pat, Thank you for your question. The handle will tilt up to turn the water on and right/left to adjust the temperature. We recommend that there be 2 1/2" from the center of the faucet to the back splash. Please see the Technical Specifications for this and other measurements: https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-1353-DST%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Jon

However, we do manufacture extension kits for granite for some of our models. This information is normally located in the technical specifications sheet for each model. This model will require 2 1/2"(64 mm) Max. deck thickness. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-1353-DST%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Edward
