How to remove and clean the aerator filter? Model 488-SSWF

The filter has become clogged and needs to be removed from the aerator head. Does this require a special tool? If not, how is this accomplished? If so can the tool be ordered and shipped?

You have probably already figured this out. There is a set screw on the underside of the facet at the end of the spout. Remove the set screw with an allen wrench and pull the whole aerator/end of spout assembly toward you. If the aerator is clogged, you should be able to just rinse the screen at the point that the water enters the aerator. I made the mistake of buying the aerator tool, only to discover it does not fit this model.
