Rated 1 out of 5 by from Touch feature not working. Hi, I am a contractor that has installed this faucet in a client’s home. Unfortunately, the touch feature works only part time. This is leaving my clients frustrated. I just recently had to bypass the touch feature because it has gotten so inconsistent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rusting Away I installed this faucet about in late 2017 and it started to rust about 6 months ago. It has a mild steel sleeve that houses the retractable faucet head that has been completely deteriorating. There is no leakage along the hose or near the head, but water does get splashed on the joint on occasion. I’m surprised the sleeve wasn’t stainless or brass. It doesn’t look like it’s possible to replace the sleeve. We like the faucet, but the rust has made it so the head doesn’t retract all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this faucet! We were trying to decide between this kind or one that has a motion sensor. We were afraid the motion sensor would come on at odd times and went with this one. I wanted something that I can tap when I have really yucky hands or when I have been cooking with raw chicken. I have been using it a few weeks and realized that it seems I am really saving water when washing dishes. Now when I am at someone else's house, I tap at the kitchen faucet because I am so used to mine. I highly recommend this faucet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the this faucet Not sure I would like the touch free option, now I would never buy a faucet without it, the light indicating the water temp was unexpected, but like it also. One more thing the ease of use of the magnetized sprayer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well when it works I've had this for about a year now and it works really well when it does work. For the first couple of month no issues. At all, all the touch points worked well. About 5 months in That's when some problems happened. There would be intermittent drips and such which made me put the handle to the off position all the time so that we don't waste water when we are sleeping or away. This problem is due to the sediments getting stuck in the solenoid which in turn keeps the valve from closing completely. Not a hard fix, but delicate. The next problem was losing the touch sensitivity. The top part of the faucet no longer works. There must be some wiring that is broken or possibly shorted, inconvenient but the Shaft still works. Would I buy this again? Maybe a newer model more throughly tested model. The touch is very convenient. -Harri

Is it possible to take the restrictor out to get more water pressure?

I currently have a Kohler kitchen faucet with the same specifications, but our water pressure is horrible. Had it checked for debris, etc. and that was not the problem.
Asked by: Tina
Hi Tina, Thank you for your question! This unit is designed to run at 1.8 gallons per minute. It is not possible to increase the flow rate without damaging the product. Thanks, Jon

Is there any way to reverse the handle on the Delta 9113T-AR-DST?

Asked by: notafoodie
Hi, notafoodie! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the front or left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Asked by: Charle
Thank you for your question, Charle! Model 9113T-DST will include the 10" escutcheon plate however this is not offered with Bar Prep models. The angle should not be an issue with your sink. Best regards, Edward

Can the faucet be installed with water “on/off” handle in front rather than the side?

Asked by: Beth
Thank you for your question, Beth. We recommend installing the faucet with the handle on the right. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on and rotates forward to increase the temperature. Unfortunately, there is no way to reverse the movement, so if the handle is installed on the left, it will rotate backwards. Best regards, Jon

I received my faucet from Amazon. It is going to be mounted on a under the counter sink with a granite top. When the granite fabricator cuts the hole for the faucet, how far from the edge of the sink should the mounting hole be cut?

Asked by: Fastfreddie
Hi Fastfreddie, Thank you for your question. The Delta Essa Pull-Down Touch2O Kitchen 9113T-DST faucet, requires 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" (32 mm to 38 mm) hole size. There is also a minimum 2 1/2" (64 mm) clearance to the back splash. It would be the installer or homeowner personal preference for the faucet location on the sink. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-9113T-DST%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Hello, am I able to connect a countertop dishwasher to this faucet? If so, do I need an adapter? Thank you,

Asked by: Dave L
Hello Dave L, Thank you for your question. Connecting portable dishwashers to kitchen faucets must be done with care. None of our pull out or pull down faucets are compatible with portable dishwashers. The connection puts too much stress on the hose, the wand and it's mounting. Also, none of the electronic faucets are compatible with portable dishwashers. They have an automatic shutoff time that is shorter than a dishwasher cycle. Best regards, Tanya

What is the minimum distance from the back of undermount sink that is needed to install this faucet?

I have an undermount sink and while I have room to the backsplash, I want to install a window stool in my window right behind my sink. I want to make sure my window stool does not interfere with the faucet, so I would like to install the faucet as close to the sink as I can.

Let's assume my batteries run out of juice, and at the moment I have no replacement batteries and I need water immediately . Is there a way to switch it into manual mode. My faucet will not react to any lever movements with loss of battery power.

Asked by: Smitty
Hi, Smitty. Thank you for your question. The Delta 9113T-DST can be changed o manual mode so that the faucet is still usable without batteries. To change the faucet to manual mode, first turn the water off at the shut off valve. Take a bucket with a towel under your sink. Remove the two blue clips on the top and bottom connections at the solenoid assembly. This will remove the solenoid entirely. Disconnect the wiring from the solenoid and let the wiring hang freely. Connect the two hoses that were installed in the solenoid together and secure this connection with one of the blue clips. Pull connection to make sure this is secure. Turn the water on at the shut off valve and test the water. If you should need further assistance, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. Is there a way to restrict the rotation of the spout to less than 360 degrees? Our faucet is installed on an island and our dog can turn the faucet on with her nose and swivel it around which then floods the kitchen!

When faucet handle is in on position and I use the touch feature to turn it off it drips from the sprayer assembly. When handle is in off position it does not.

Asked by: slaursen4
Hi, Slaursen4! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. Leaking from the faucet in the touch off mode comes from debris inside the solenoid. You may flush the solenoid by following these next steps. 1. Turn the water supply by putting your handle in the manual off position. 2. Disconnect the sprayer hose by removing the blue retaining clip. 3. Place a bucket under the male adapter coming out from the solenoid. 4. Run water into the bucket for 2-3 minutes. Debris located inside the solenoid should be flushed out after completing these steps. If this does not fix the issue, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358.
