Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rusting Away I installed this faucet about in late 2017 and it started to rust about 6 months ago. It has a mild steel sleeve that houses the retractable faucet head that has been completely deteriorating. There is no leakage along the hose or near the head, but water does get splashed on the joint on occasion. I’m surprised the sleeve wasn’t stainless or brass. It doesn’t look like it’s possible to replace the sleeve. We like the faucet, but the rust has made it so the head doesn’t retract all the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this faucet! We were trying to decide between this kind or one that has a motion sensor. We were afraid the motion sensor would come on at odd times and went with this one. I wanted something that I can tap when I have really yucky hands or when I have been cooking with raw chicken. I have been using it a few weeks and realized that it seems I am really saving water when washing dishes. Now when I am at someone else's house, I tap at the kitchen faucet because I am so used to mine. I highly recommend this faucet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the this faucet Not sure I would like the touch free option, now I would never buy a faucet without it, the light indicating the water temp was unexpected, but like it also. One more thing the ease of use of the magnetized sprayer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well when it works I've had this for about a year now and it works really well when it does work. For the first couple of month no issues. At all, all the touch points worked well. About 5 months in That's when some problems happened. There would be intermittent drips and such which made me put the handle to the off position all the time so that we don't waste water when we are sleeping or away. This problem is due to the sediments getting stuck in the solenoid which in turn keeps the valve from closing completely. Not a hard fix, but delicate. The next problem was losing the touch sensitivity. The top part of the faucet no longer works. There must be some wiring that is broken or possibly shorted, inconvenient but the Shaft still works. Would I buy this again? Maybe a newer model more throughly tested model. The touch is very convenient. -Harri

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product and Great Support This is my 2nd Delta Touch Faucet. The one in my kitchen has been in service about 3 years and we love it. Our Laundry room project just was a great place to add another one. Previously had an issue with the Solenoid on our first faucet and Delta walked me through the troubleshooting and sent a replacement. Great service!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTING Bought the faucet and had it profressionally installed less than three months ago. All seemed well until one day when I was in the kitchen the faucet started on its own! Since then we have had problems getting it to turn on, turn off and even when we put it in the fully manual mode it does not always turn on. Its a great concept but when it doesn't work it is useless. Now I face the cost of not only a replacement but also professional installation.

Does the wand retract automatically?

When you pull out the wand, does it retract automatically or does one have to feed the hose back?
Asked by: Steve
Thank you for your question, Steve. It is not designed to retract automatically. However, the hose weight makes it easy to return the wand to the spout, and MagnaTite docking ensures that the wand stays locked into the right position every time. Best regards, Jon

How far back from centerline does the handle move?

I have a potential backsplash and window sill space issue, thus the need to know how far back the handle travels. See photo for application with current installation. That's a Delta 462/466 series in the pic.
Asked by: El Jefe
Hi El Jefe, Thank you for your question! While the handle only moves forward from the vertical position, the faucet does require 2 1/2" from the center of the installation hole to the backsplash. How do I disable the touch faucet (and it's automatic shut-off) so I can leave the faucet drip to prevent the pipes freezing?

Asked by: Carol with frozen pipes
Thank you for your question, Carol with frozen pipes! The touch feature can be disabled by touching the faucet to turn on, then while the water is running, remove the lid of the battery box lid. The model will now function as a manual faucet. You could alternatively disconnect the solenoid assembly and connect the hose directly to the faucet outlet below the counter. Please make sure either the handle is in the off position or the supplies are shut off before removing this part. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/92519%20Rev%20H.pdf Best regards, Edward

what color is artic stainless as opposed to chrome finish?. Is it as bright and shiny as chrome? Will it look OK with a stainless steel sink?

Asked by: DNSe
Hello DNSe, Thank you for your question! Arctic Stainless is a brushed finish. Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following a trend seen throughout the kitchen. While noticeably different, Arctic Stainless can coordinate with a more traditional stainless as in the photo linked below: https://media.deltafaucet.com/elvis/InContext/md/9113T-AR-DST_WATER_WEB.jpg Best regards, Jon

Parsippany NJ plumbing inspector said faucet should be pushed away from you for hot water and cold water should be pulled toward you for safety. The faucet blue/red markings are opposite - alternate handle available?.

Asked by: Patricia
Hi, Patricia. Thank you for your question. The Delta 9113T-DST Faucet handle rotates out and away from the faucet body for on and cold water. Rotate the handle towards the user for hot water. This is when the handle is installed on the right side. The handle can be installed on the left of the faucet so that the handle turns back for hot water. However, the temperature indicator colors will be opposite. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have a 474-SS faucet I want to replace with the Essa. The Essa would go into the hole where the current spout is installed, but the center of that hole is only 1 3/4" from the backsplash. I see the Essa calls for 2 1/2". Any way this will work?

Asked by: ggimlick
Thank you for your question, ggimlick! The minimum clearance recommendation to the back splash is intended to provide a comfortable distance between the wall and the handle. As this handle operation only moves forward and away from the faucet, this will work but may be a tight fit. Alternatively, because the spout can swivel 360 degrees, the faucet can be installed with the handle in the front if desired, however this will place the LED facing left. Best regards, Edward
