Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! I bought this faucet recently for my kitchen remodel. I had great success with a previous Delta purchase so I decided to stay with the same brand. I love the Spray Shield feature in this faucet! It does what it says about not splashing and removes food off the dishes completely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, elegant, and sturdy I searched for ever for a faucet and am so happy I ordered this one. My pull-out Pfister from a big box store started leaking out the top after two years and we couldn't get the handle to come off. I wanted to upgrade to a pull-down that wasn't so tall it interfered with the cabinets above. The Cassidy is a high arch and was perfect. It swivels completely around in a solid fashion with ease, but yet does not wobble at all in the base. I like that the handle is elevated a bit from the counter. I have it mounted to the right and I don't seem to be dripping water down it all the time. The cartridge feels fairly solid and I hope will last for years to come. I was reluctant to get the basic chrome color at first but it looks really sharp and I think it was the right choice. The metal feels really solid and the magnetic nozzle snaps firmly back into place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low pressure I purchased this model about a month ago and it has very low pressure.
Date published: 2019-06-10
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing This faucet is nice looking on the outside but according to our plumber, poorly constructed in the inside. It is made with cheap parts that can easily break. This is not what I was expecting for an almost $500 faucet. I'm very sorry that we chose this faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NICE So far I've been happy with this faucet. I do suggest the instructions could be more user friendly and their was a yellow key tool in the box that the instructions never addressed, So I have no idea what it was for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from low water pressure We moved into a new home that had the faucet (brand new). The water pressure seemed fine when we first moved into the home, then as time went on the water pressure became extremely low.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I was extremely disappointed with the various spray features of the Cassidy with Spray Shield. The stream is extremely narrow, the spray is almost useless because there is a large gap in the middle since the spray only comes out either side, and I don’t really see the point of the Spray Shield. After paying an exorbitant amount for the faucet and to have it installed, I am going to have to pay yet again to replace the spray head with one that does not have spray shield.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product I had my kitchen remodeled about a year ago. The faucet looks like the day it was installed. It works flawlessly. It does what it is supposed to do. We have hard water but it doesn't have any white residue and cleans up easily. I have a 30 inch apron sink and can clean every bit of it simply. There is so much available on line but my plumber cautioned me that parts may not be available and quality varies widely. With Delta you know what you are getting. A quality product and a company that stands by their products. I also have Delta in my bathroom as well. Two different remodelers usa and recommend Delta. This style worked out perfectly for me. I couldn't be more pleased.

What type of metal is used and where?

I have searched all the Q&A answers, and although a couple of people asked what the faucet is made of, the answers given are not specific enough. Exactly what type of metal is used- Brass? Zinc? Zamak? What parts are metal and what parts are plastic? Your website conveniently (actually inconveniently) leaves out all details regarding material which is not a good sign for anyone looking for a quality faucet.
Asked by: DG
Hi DG, Thank you for your question. The faucet body, spout, and handle are metal. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown of the materials used. In general, metal parts are usually brass (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings), zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), or stainless steel (set screw, undercover plate). Best regards, Jon

In catalog, there's a black ring at the base of the Cassidy. Your website photo doesn't show this. What is/was function of this? What material is it?

Thank you for your question, home12! If only the spout feels loose then you may need a new spout retainer, part number RP60923 which can be obtained by contacting the warranty center directly. If the entire faucet is moving, the mounting bracket below the counter will need to be tightened. 2 Questions on Operation

1. Which way do you move the side-mounted lever handle to turn the water ON - Up or Down; Front or Back? 2. Does the pull down spray wand have a water shut-off button? That is, can you shut the water flow completely OFF from the pull down?
Asked by: GrumpyGeezer
To turn the faucet on, you move the handle out. Front and back are the temperature control. Back being hotter, cold is forward. There is not a shut-off on the pulldown spray attachment, just a rocker switch for spray and regular flow.

Can this faucet be installed with the control on the left?

Asked by: Mike h
Thank you for your question, Mike, Thank you for your question. We recommend installing it with the handle on the right. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on. The vertical (back) position gives cold water and rotating the handle forward provides hot. Unfortunately, there is no way to reverse the movement, so if the handle is installed on the left, it will rotate backward. Best regards, Jon

On the Cassidy 9197-RB how do I remove the filter on spray head to clean?

On the Cassidy 9197-RB how do I remove the filter on spray head to clean? I see how to unscrew the spray head itself, but is there a way to clean being the filter on both sides? It appears the aerator side has a metal ring that can be removed--how do you remove that? I have low flow on this faucet but not others. I have checked the connections, etc.

How do I fix very low water flow -- NOT at the spray nozzle?

My 9197 AR DST faucet has *very* low flow, possibly due to debris in the line from recent plumbing work. The problem is *past* the supply line shutoff valves but *before* the spray head/nozzle. How can I disassemble the line from the mixing valve to the output line connector and clean it out? I have disassembled the mixing valve and found no problems. It's possible I reassembled the mixing valve incorrectly, but I doubt it, as it appears that it can only be assembled one way.
Asked by: theophys
Hi, theophys! Thank you for your question. The hose assembly for your 9197-AR-DST can be removed by unclipping the blue clip from the connection. Once the blue clip is taken off, you can pull the hose down firmly until it is completely off of the valve end. Best Regards, Rosanna
