Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product. Touch feature+shield spray awful This faucet is part of our remodel. The shield spray is a terrible marketing gimmick. It does not work at all. Don't fall for it. Water still splatters all over - when the water is working... The touch feature is terrible. It does not work. It will turn off the water on its own while you are washing without any prompting. Manual override doesn't work either. You can turn on the faucet manually, and still not get any water. Takes several tries to turn on the water. Terribly inconvenient. Wish I had my old Kohler faucet back. Twenty years old, but still worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Faucet Ever! After having an older Delta touch faucet in the old house, I could hardly wait to get this faucet in our new house! No splashing, good pressure, love the plate spray feature. I also have a lot less water on the back of the sink because you don’t have to grab the handle to turn it off! Hands free means easier work every time! Makes me want to cook more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE IT. This helps so much when your hands are dirty or contaminated with chicken juice. I haven't had any of the other issues mentioned in the reviews and I've had my faucet for almost two years. I've only had to change the battery once when a plant was drooping down and touching the faucet constantly. I say go for it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great at first, not working at all. This is a great concept. It worked well for the first 6 months, then it worked when it wanted too (even after batteries being replenished). About 2 months ago, (4 years after installing it) the faucet doesn't work AT ALL. Even with the touch feature power disconnected. No online help to solve this problem either. Only solution seems to be to buy a new faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from touch fails and disables faucet no water at all This was part of our remodel been used for about 3 weeks. Worked great then quit all together. No light, no touch, and disables manual faucet so we get no water in the kitchen sink. Can't cook, can't wash hands, dishes, or anything. Need a bucket to rinse the sink as it failed in the middle of cooking. Scrap that meal. Why fail in a completely disabled mode. Please fail to manual use at least. Even disconnected the wires as the troubleshooting recommends for manual usage only. That did not enable manual usage. Tried the online troubleshooting and no impact. Checked battery voltage and was fine. AC fine, not touching metal. What is with that these are insulated wires if they are so sensitive they can't touch themselves or any metal buy shielded wires and build a proper electronic system. This is not inside a computer case after all. Even computer wires can touch each other! I want this technology out of my house. It is just a faucet after all. I do not want to do electronic maintenance on hyper sensitive wires under a sink inside a cabinet on the floor. Not an appropriate working environment or an appropriate place for this kind of tech.

Our faucet has many issues, but the latest is... When we turn it off via the touch feature, it take about 5-30 seconds to shut off. It just Very Slowly decreases pressure until it is off. How can I fix this? (I already changed the batteries)

Asked by: Charlie
Hi, Charlie! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. I am happy to help you. Leaking from the faucet in the touch off mode comes from debris inside the solenoid. You may flush the solenoid by following these next steps. 1. Turn the water supply by putting your handle in the manual off position. 2. Disconnect the sprayer hose by removing the blue retaining clip. 3. Place a bucket under the male adapter coming out from the solenoid. 4. Run water into the bucket for 2-3 minutes. Debris located inside the solenoid should be flushed out after completing these steps. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have low water pressure with cold water only. Just started coming out slower. Hot water flows our normal pressure. What could be the issue?

Asked by: JCSmith
Hi, JCSmith, Thank you for your question and I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing low flow with your Delta Faucet. The low flow you are describing is most likely the result of debris in your supply lines or faucet. Over time, common water debris will settle in the house supply lines. Anytime the water is shut off to a portion of the home, this debris can become dislodged and will move through the pipes to be caught by a faucet. Local construction or the changing of the seasons can also cause this. Flushing the supply lines through the unit should remedy this situation. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. If you need further help with this process, please contact us directly and we can walk you through the procedure. We are available at 800-345-3358 (prompt 2, then 3), Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday, 9am to 6pm CST. Best Regards, Rosanna

Thinking about a cassidy 91977 faucet for existing installation. Have control hole  and faucet hole, plus spray and soap dispenser hole Wish to know options for covering existing holes in champaign bronze.

Asked by: David
Thank you for your question, David! The 9197T-CZ-DST has an optional matching escutcheon plate, RP71545CZ that will fill three holes. Since this model has a pull down wand, it will not allow for a separate sprayer and would work with a soap dispenser off to the side. Otherwise, the RP3816 Hole Cover is the only cover that we make and unfortunately it is not available in Champagne Bronze. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP71545CZ Best regards, Edward

Installation restrictions

We want to purchase a Delta Touch20 Technology kitchen faucet. We like the Cassidy, Trinsic or Pilar style. Our problem is the back splash is 2-1/8" from the vertical centerline of the faucet to the back splash. The back splash height is 6". The 2-1/2" base diameter of the faucet would not be an issue. My problem is all the technical drawings for these faucets state the minimum faucet centerline to back splash dimension is 2-1/2". Unless the faucet handles go backwards beyond vertical, I do not see why I could not install this faucet. Any thoughts.
Asked by: Mat
Good question, Mat, but you should be in luck! Although the installation might be marginally more difficult under the sink from the reduced clearance, it should work fine. This model features the Euro-Motion handle which only rotates forward to eliminate backsplash interference.

I just installed one of these in our kitchen and I notice that water doesn’t get hot even with the handle in full hot position. All lines have been connected properly, are full open, no leaks. Is there an internal limiter in this model that I can adjust?

Asked by: Frostbeard
Hi, Frostbeard! Thank you for your question. There is a limit stop on the valve cartridge assembly, located under the handle, that can be adjusted for hotter water. The diagram and directions for this can be seen on page 8, here: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00080320_C.pdf Here are the written directions: Setting The Handle Limit Stop (Optional) This faucet includes an integrated handle limit stop that has two positions. Position 1, to the left, allows full handle motion (the full range between “all cold” to “all hot”). The faucet is set in position 1 in the factory. Position 2, to the right, allows half of the normal handle motion (“all cold” to “mixed hot/cold”). The handle limit stop can be adjusted by the homeowner once the faucet is installed. Setting the handle limit stop in position 2 may help to prevent scalding because it limits the amount of hot water in the mix; however, this handle limit stop will not always prevent scalding because it does not compensate for incoming pressure or sudden water temperature changes. To change positions of the handle limit stop: remove the handle; move the valve stem to the all cold position so the water is on; change the position of the handle limit stop; turn off the water; reinstall the handle. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can you shut off the Touch technology and use as a regular faucet if the Touch is acting up or stops working?

I saw a lot of mixed reviews regarding this product. If the touch technology does act up, can you just use this faucet as a manual faucet or would you have to completely replace the faucet?
Asked by: Meredith
Dear Meredith, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Down 9197T-DST faucet can be used as a regular faucet. You would simply remove the batteries from the faucet, while it is running or completely remove the solenoid and battery box assemblies and connect the faucet as standard pull-down faucet. My backsplash is too close. What can be done?

Can the Cassidy faucet cartridge and handle be installed at an angle increasing the forward motion while reducing the required clearance to the backsplash? If not, can the entire faucet be rotated in the mounting hole to move the handle forward?
Asked by: Steve
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9197T-DST has to have a minimum clearance to the backsplash of 2 1/2 inches. If you using a single hole mount, you can rotate the faucet so that the handle is in the front to avoid the handle hitting the backsplash. However, your hot and cold will then be side to side instead of back to front.
