Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great faucet I have the same one on my back porch. I like it so much that I picked it for my kitchen upgrade. It's so pretty and runs flawlessly. It parks nicely. No drips or other problems. Fauce direct provides excellent customer service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Faucet with Separate Handle Have just installed this faucet and it is working well. One curious thing is that the handle moves very little between hot and cold - almost not at all. This means you need a fine touch to select temps between all-hot and all-cold. However, it doesn't seem to be much of a problem and something we'll definitely get used to pretty quickly. Also, if the spray is selected and then you turn the water off, it will come back on as a spray. My prior faucet didn't do this, when it turned back on it was full-stream. I preferred the full-stream deal, but that's just a personal choice I expect. Appears to be heavy-duty and the finish is very nice. To be perfectly frank, we ordered this because it was pretty much the only one we could find where the handle is not part of the faucet. We have granite counter tops and have 3 holes which were used for faucet, handle and soap dispenser. That's the type of replacement we wanted so we wouldn't have a random hole we had to plug, which totally changes the nice finished look of a granite counter top. Based on my online research, this is a common complaint and concern for people replacing a faucet. I can't imagine why the heck manufacturers don't provide that option anymore. Time will tell if this is a durable item, I have no comments on that at this point. My prior Moen lasted almost 10 years and I'm hoping to get at least that much out of this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handle needs improvement We wanted to love this faucet. Beautiful design; love the looks. We bought this faucet because we wanted a separate handle from the faucet itself. The handle on this faucet is EXTREMELY difficult to control the water temp. It is so touchy that it’s almost impossible to not get very hot or ice cold. This doesn’t bode well when trying to bath our newborn child under it. Had to bath in tub instead because I was so scared I would burn him. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and practical I bought this facet a couple months ago and love it. I really like the movable sprayer which my old facet did not have. And the finish is much nicer then the shiny chrome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a beautiful faucet This is a beautiful faucet; I love the design. The retractable hose works very well and easily sets back into place. The 360 degree turning radius is very smooth, and the switch between spray types is easy to use and conveniently placed. The handle placement for mine is on the right hand side, but I think I may have preferred it on the left since I am right handed so normally hold pots for filling, etc with my right hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Workhorse We've had this faucet for over 15 years and have only had to replace the cartridge twice. We even used it again when we got new countertops. This has been a great faucet while raising a family of four kids through teens into adulthood and now grandkids. I found it online again as I'm recommending it to my sister for their replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good faucet, Customer service was very helpfull. Good Faucet turns on and off. Water comes out spays dishes, sinks and kids when they don't listen. It is easy to keep clean and looking new. Faucet developed a small leak almost like it would not shut all the way off. Called and they walked me through figuring out what faucet it was and the parts needed. Waited a couple weeks and they never showed. Called back and for some reason they never got ordered. The second agent reordered the parts and we are waiting on them now. All the faucets in our house are Delta and I'm getting ready to buy another faucet for our outdoor kitchen. Delta has always been good to me and helped to fix any issue we have ever had.

What is the difference between the 978-RB-DST, the 9978-RB-DST and the 978-RBWE-DST faucets? Also, can you get this type faucet with the 2.2 GPM wand?

Asked by: Confused
Thank you for your questions. Delta Faucet model # 978-RB-DST is a kitchen faucet that flows at 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. Delta Faucet model # 978-RBWE-DST is the same kitchen faucet as above but it flows at 1.5 gpm at 60 psi. Lastly, Delta Faucet model # 9978-RB-DST is the same faucet as the other two but in a smaller version for a bar/prep faucet. It flows at 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. We do not make a version of this faucet that will flow at 2.2 gpm at 60 psi.

Possible to "convert" this to regular 1.8gpf faucet?

Is it possible to make this faucet operate at 1.8 gpf by simply omitting the RP61607 adapter, or does the aerator itself also need to be changed to 1.8 gpf version? thanks!
Asked by: KittPlumbing
Hi KPH, Thank you for your question. The RP60734 wand assembly (1.5 gpm) would need to be replaced with the RP51480. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp51480.html Best regards, Jon

Does this have to be mounted 4" apart or is 5 or 6" possible?

Asked by: Mary
Dear Mary, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Kitchen faucet 978-WE-DST model has the 4" installation requirement for the outstanding reach of the 59" hose assembly. Installing the the handle and faucet 5" or 6" apart would effect the reach of the hose assembly. Best regards, Tanya
