Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and practical We purchased the faucet to compliment our new countertops. My husband was happy with how easy it was to install and that the directions actually made sense. I couldn’t find the warranty card, so I called customer service and she set me up. She was very friendly! Water flow is excellent, which was a problem with other brands of faucets I reviewed. The pull-down feature works great and it fits in place with a magnet, not a notch fitting like our old chrome one. (Our old chrome faucet was a 16 year old Delta too and still worked fine, but not so attractive anymore) Can’t go wrong with Delta!!! Love it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lots of issues Bought this a year ago. The faucet handle is very sensitive and I have difficulty getting the pressure of the water at a happy medium - it trickles, or blasts out spraying water all over the back of the sink and the counters. Also if the batteries go low the faucet will NOT work at all. The touch is also not very good - half the time I tap the faucet, it doesn't turn on. Very disappointed with this faucet and the price I paid for it.

The base is loose on the marble countertop, causing the handle to rotate when used. What wrench tool can I use to tighten it? I will have to reach it from underneath the sink. I do not have the tightening tool that came with it. Can I use sealant?

Asked by: RobertSF
Thank you for your question, RobertSF! The RP60924 wrench that was included with your model is recommended however an adjustable wrench will also work to tighten the mount nut and bracket below the counter. We do not recommend applying sealant as this could make future repairs difficult. Please contact us directly if you have questions or need further assistance. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP60924 Best regard, Edward

hot/cold? and direction

Does this bar faucet dispense hot and cold water? Does the lever only go in one direction or does pulling forward give hot water and pushing backwards give cold water ? Thank you!
Asked by: Linda
Thank you for your question, Linda! This faucet dispenses hot and cold water. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on. The vertical position gives cold water and rotating the handle forward provides hot. Best regards, Jon

Does this bar faucet swivel side to side in case you need to push it out of the way to make more room in your sink for a taller item? Also do you have to keep the button pressed down in order to keep it on a different spray mode?

Asked by: Nili
Hi, Nill! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9913-DST faucet spout rotates 360˚. The toggle button on the sprayer does not need to be kept pressed down. The button will stay pressed down after the button is released. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can the Essa bar prep faucet be used as a cold water faucet only connected to an under sink water filter? The water filter is not an RO type.

Asked by: jomo
Thank you for your question, jomo! This bar prep faucet is not recommended to be used with a filtered system. We would recommend a beverage faucet as they have only one supply line and are designed to be a cold water dispenser only. These models are designed to compliment various collections and can be used with filtered or Reverse Osmosis machines. https://www.deltafaucet.com/kitchen/specialty-faucets/beverage Best regards, Edward

Whats the difference between a kitchen faucet and a prep faucet??

Asked by: home owner
Hello Home Owner, the difference between the Delta Essa kitchen and bar/prep faucets is the height and reach of the spout assemblies. The Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet is smaller in size than the kitchen 9113-DST standard kitchen faucet. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-9113-DST%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Have just installed this faucet and it is putting out about a quart a minute. I have checked the screen in the nozzle and it appear totally clean. Other faucets in the house work just fine with flow several times the new faucet. What can I do?

Asked by: stevehurley
Hello SteveHurley, Thank you for your inquiry! Most issues with low flow, such as yours, are due to some kind of debris entering the faucet from your water line, which can cause noises as the debris moves, or cause low or sporadic flow as the water continues to move the debris around. We would advise flushing the valve body and Innoflex PEX lines of the Delta Essa Pull-Down Bar/Prep 9913-DST faucet. To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket. Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp. Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full. Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply. Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time. Move handle to off position. Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves. Best regards, Tanya

How to choose between standard and bar/prep sizes?

Hi, I am renovating a kitchen and putting in two sinks, one of which will be a Franke TCX110-18 in a kitchen island. I am trying to decide which faucet will be a better fit for this sink, the 9113-DST (standard) or the 9913-DST (bar/prep). Can you please advise which version of the faucet would be suitable for this sink? The sink's inner dimensions are 16x18" so I am wondering if the bar/prep faucet might be too small. Do you have any guidelines on how to choose between the standard and bar/prep faucets?
Asked by: gosko
Dear Gosko, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Essa Pull-Down Kitchen and Bar/Prep faucets will both work for your faucet install. It would be your own personal preference of the size you would need for the install. Please see below, the Technical Specification document for both faucets for further assistance. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-9113-DST%20Rev%20A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

I just received my black delta essa pull down kitchen faucet, and i have noticed that the pull down nozzle head of the faucet is made of plastic. is there a specific reason for this?

Asked by: shana
Hi, shana! Thank you for your question. Our Delta kitchen sprayer assemblies are made of plastic due to safety issues so as hot water goes through metal, we recommend to not touch the metal as it may scald skin. Please know that all of our products undergo rigorous tests to ensure long-lasting use and are made with high-grade materials. Will the sprayer stay on without having to hold the button down

I'm considering your bar/prep faucet and a similar one by Moen. On the Moen faucet it apparently requires the button to be held or pressed constantly to keep the sprayer on. I prefer to be able to press the button once and keep the sprayer going and then press it again to return to a stream. How does yours work?
Asked by: Strangebru
Hi Strangebru, Thank you for your question! The button on the model 9913-DST single handle bar/prep faucet will stay diverted to the mode you put it on. It will not switch unless you press it again. Best regards, Brandis

I am looking for a cold filtered water faucet to put along side my main sink cold/hot water faucet.  Would the Essa bar/prep faucet be a good choice for this. I would like the faucet to match the Essa Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet.

Asked by: jomo
Thank you for your question, jomo! The Essa Bar Prep faucet would work as a matching cold or hot water faucet but is not recommended to be used with a filtered system. We do offer beverage faucets that have only one supply line and are designed to be a cold water dispenser only. Although there is not an "Essa" beverage faucet, they are designed to compliment various styles and collections. https://www.deltafaucet.com/kitchen/specialty-faucets/beverage Best regards, Edward
