Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn’t Last! I love my Delta faucet but much like cars with a lot of gadgets, there’s just more to go wrong. I replaced my kitchen faucet of 20 years that was still working with this faucet in 2013. It broke last year and we had to replace the electronics parts. It just broke again less than a year later. Save yourself some trouble and go with a basic faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective After I bought this faucet on sale and after paying a plumbing company to install it I find out later when the Touch2O that it had a defective solenoid. Though Delta sent me a new part I have yet to install it. If iI had wanted to install any part of the faucet I would not have hired the plumbing company to do it. Now the part has not been installed thus unable to use the touch feature. I care for both of my parents who have severe dementia/alzheimers. One day I will have the time to install the new part but as of now I don't. I wish I had went with my first choice which was a Moen product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never did work right Built our house 4 years ago, paid extra to have one of these delta touch faucets installed and it worked for about a month and I have faught with it ever since. The plumber that installed it tried to fix it, with tech support’s help, and finally gave up. I tried to fix it with tech support’s help and they just blamed the install. According to who I talked to it couldn’t possibly be the faucet. I finally unhooked the touch part thinking I could just use it as a normal faucet which lasted for 2 years and now the water just trickles out. Time for a new faucet, last delta product I will ever buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warranted service The touch system had not been functioning properly since the faucet was first installed and the LED stopped working so it was time to all Tech support. They promptly sent me a redesigned selenoid part and battery holder that was easy to replace on my own. The faucet works better than when was installed by the plumber!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought 3 of these about 3 years ago. One for laundry room, 2 in kitchen and now one in granny flat. I need to replace the batteries (super easy) about once a year. Large family, lots of parties. The laundry room I still haven't hooked up to auto touch but it works perfectly without it manually. I seriously go to other peoples houses and keep trying to touch their faucet with the back of my dirty hands lol.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Three years and out it went! We had this model installed four years ago in a kitchen remodel and for a good year it was problem free. Once we replaced the batteries the problems began. I called Delta for help and moved the battery pack so many times under my sink it became a joke. I gave up when I needed water and could not get the faucet to work. My regular plumber who I should have consulted before my remodel and unfortunately did not use, told me that he personally replaced dozens of these type of faucets since he felt the technology was poor and unreliable. I took his advice and replaced it for a conventional one handle faucet and it has been problem free for well over a year. No more Delta products for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Touch not reliable Have had faucet for 3 years and it recently started to malfunction. Have heard of others with similar issues and watched video on how to "reboot" the faucet. This works for a day or two and then it stops working again. The water simply stops coming out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not reliable This faucet is less than 3 years old. The touch technology only works sometimes. Buyers beware.... Imagine you are standing at your kitchen sink, trying to get your water to tun on with "Touch Technology" and with raw food covering your hands. Knowing that everything you touch from here is going to get contaminated since this unreliable product is faulty and you are unable to wash your hands. The idea is great but obviously it is not ready for market. Save yourself the frustration and buy something else!!

Is the Home Depot version identical to the showroom version?

I have seen reports that the larger "retail stores" (Home Depot, Lowes, etc) version has slightly different finishes to allow different pricing. Is the Home Depot version similar, or is it identical to the version provided to plumbing specialty stores? I am definitely going with this faucet, I just want to know if I should buy it from a plumbing store instead of Home Depot.
Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. If the model number in this case model 9992-RB-DST is the same at Home Depot and a plumbing specialty store that faucet is exactly the same faucet. Thanks, Dave

how to adjost duration of flow

for a Delta double handle self closing regulating faucet
Asked by: gary
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9992T-RB-DST is not a double handle self closing regulating faucet. If you do have a two-handle, push-down slow-close faucet, then the way to change the duration of the flow is to turn off the water supply. When the water is off, take off the handles, and adjust the top nut either counter-clockwise or clockwise depending on whether you want to increase or decrease the flow.

Can the Delta Faucet 9992T-CZ-DST still operate if the solenoid is bad? Can it be used manually to turn on and off? I have had this one 5.7 years and already had the solenoid go bad and was replaced.

Asked by: Beel60
Hello Beel60, Thank you for your question. You can switch a Touch2O faucet to manual mode by turning the faucet on so that water is running, then disconnecting the battery box. Best regards, Tanya

9992T vs. 9992

What is the difference between the two Addison models of 9992T and 9992?
Asked by: Lisa
Lisa, what a great question! Delta Faucet model #9992T includes our Touch feature to activate the faucet on/off with a simple touch of the hand. Model #9992 is the same model (aesthetically) without the Touch feature. The operation to turn on/off is the traditional route of the handle.

Can this faucet be used on an under mount sink?

Asked by: Kathy
Yes. I don't see any reason why not. The faucet only requires one hole in the counter top. If you have three holes, there is an escutcheon included with the faucet that will allow it to adapt. I currently installed this faucet in a Corian countertop with a seamless Corian sink basin.

which side should the lever go on?

All of your pictures show it on the right, but from a use standpoint, I prefer it on the left due to the fact that I am usually putting something in the sink with my right hand, since I am right handed, and it feels more comfortable using it on the left than on the right. My wife and I are debating this. Jim
Asked by: Jim
Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. The spout on the model 9992T-DST swivels a full 360 degrees so the faucet could be installed with the handle to the left, but it is designed to go on the right. The LED display in the base would face the wall and the handle motion would be cold to the back, hot to the front with the handle to the left side. Thanks, Dave
