Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice design, but the touchless feature worked only sporadically after the first few months and now only works if you can find a spot along the base. We selected this product for our kitchen remodel two years ago. The product worked well for the first six months, and then we started to have sporadic problems with it not working if touched along the faucet. We had two service calls in the first year and it would start magically working when the serviceman came out, and stop again a few days later. It would also just turn on by itself if left in the touch position even when no one was in the kitchen. We've changed batteries, checked the connections, and done other trouble shooting, but still it often won't come on at all until you find a place along the base that will activate the water. We probably spent 3 times what a regular faucet would have cost to have the latest touch features. Definitely the one thing in our remodel that I consider a waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hasn't ever worked as advertised This faucet was installed during construction of our house, and had been used for a year and half. From the start, the faucet would not turn on/off by touching the the spout, I always had to touch the base. I thought that was the way it was supposed to work, until I accidentally touched the spout one day and it came on. At this time -- about a year ago, I called customer service, and the rep asked about if there was any contact between the faucet and the cast iron sink which is under-mounted on my granite counter top. I said I couldn't really tell, and she sent me two isolators to install between the faucet and the sink. I decided to just live with the problem, and didn't install the isolators. Within the last month, the faucet now won't completely shut off, and has either a major drip or a steady stream when off, so I have to use it like a non-touch faucet, opening and closing the handle. I have another Cassidy faucet that is non-touch version, and the volume of water coming from it is substantially more than the touch version, which is another problem. So: erratic performance of the touch feature, the faucet now does not completely shut off, and reduced water volume over the non-touch version Cassidy. Would appreciate any help that can be provided. Thanks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fed up We've had a Delta 9997T-DST ToucH2O Cassidy faucet since we remodeled our kitchen 2.5 yrs ago. The performance of this faucet has been spotty at best. Only one week after installation, it would turn on and off by itself, and the touch feature would only work with a very deliberate touch to the faucet's base; touching anywhere along the spout did nothing. After some troubleshooting I found this was because of a wire from the solenoid to the faucet's thread. It attaches with a clip, but this clip has to be on a bare metal surface (most of the thread has plastic insulation) for the touch feature to work properly. Because the solenoid jerks every time you turn the faucet on and off, this clip can slip or become dislodged easily. So every month or so I have to get under the sink and reset this clip to get reliable functionality. That's an annoyance we've had to live with, but in the last week the faucet just doesn't work at all. I touch the faucet, the blue light comes on and I hear the solenoid click, but only a tiny trickle of water comes out. We are reduced to going downstairs to our basement laundry sink to get water for cooking. After online research I believe the solenoid is not opening fully to allow water to flow and needs to be replaced. I am about to try contacting Delta about getting a new solenoid, but at this point I have to say I would just love to have a regular MANUAL faucet again that works and doesn't have these constant headaches. ToucH2O has a long way to go before it is fully productized. Just the placement of the wires near metal (like, say, a sink??) can throw it off. Every time I replace the batteries I can hear the solenoid clicking just from the movement of the wire connected to the battery housing. I'm really surprised Delta would market a product with such sensitive wiring connections when it is meant to be in a tight space near metal sinks, metal hoses and pipes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the look and the touch feature but not the restricted water flow We were all excited to install this faucet into our newly renovated kitchen. It looks really pretty and the touch feature is fun to use. One huge issue though! The water flow is more like a trickle and that is of a great disappointment to us. We had the faucet installed by a licensed plumber and the valves are wide open so there are absolutely no restrictions in the lines or in the valve. Yet the trickle that comes out is hardly enough to rinse your hands much less the dishes. The plumber has tried everything he knew of and yet we are left with a trickle. This is so discouraging to us because we were so looking forward to this faucet. We are now having to look for a different faucet to replace the Cassidy. Our renovation included 3 baths and the kitchen and all of them we used Delta products with no water flow issues, this is the largest expense of all of them and the one that does not work to our expectations. Very Sad indeed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great faucet, can be difficult to keep working properly We have had them for over three years and will never go back to manual faucets in our kitchen again! So much easier to use, and super sanitary too. We have two of these faucets in our kitchen, after 6-9 months they will start to respond erratically, fixed with a battery change. We have had a couple bigger issues, first there was a solenoid problem but a Delta tech came out and replaced the problem parts for free, then we had another problem because it turned out that the plumber who originally installed them did not include a special adapter for our cast iron sinks. We just got a diagnosis for the biggest problem, which is that in one of our sinks in particular it would take a long time (20 seconds sometimes) for cold water to come out when turned to cold. Real problem if you have ever burned yourself in the kitchen! It turns out that if the handle is in the out or open position, even if water is not coming out the spout the hot and cold lines can cross, and the hot water, which wants to expand, will push its way into the cold water line, so we have to flush all that hot out of the cold water line before the cold will come out. There are check valves between the taps in the wall and the supply lines that are supposed to prevent water from going backwards, it seems one or more of those valves has failed. We just ordered new check valves and are hoping that will fix the problem, but in general it means that if you are not using the faucet for a while, it is better to put the handle into the off position to make sure that the hot and cold water lines do not mix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality! The touch activation takes a little getting used to but it works great, we used this for our outdoor kitchen. When you have meat juice or anything else on your hands this works great to touch with you arm to start and then wash up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Faucet, amazing features We recently updated our kitchen faucets and hardware. We purchased two of these faucets, one for the main sink, one for the prep sink. They are addictive! I love not having to touch the faucet with food covered hands, and I love the light at the base of the faucet that automatically tells you whether the water will be hot, warm or cold by being either red, purple or blue respectively. With a tap of your wrist, back side of your hand, elbow, whatever (nose?!) you can turn the faucet on and off. The retractable spray nozzle is fantastic too. It has a wide spray radius, and a button which allows you to toggle between either a spray stream of water or a full stream. The extra magnetic pull when retracting the sprayer is very useful, as you don't find yourself pushing the sprayer back into its holding spot...it pulls right back in, thanks to the magic of magnets! I am in love with my Delta Touch faucet. Go for it. You'll be glad you did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Finish We purchased this for a upscale addition and kitchen remodel. The homeowner chose it because she liked the arctic stainless finish and felt is was a better quality than the more expensive Brizio. Our plumbing subcontractor has used these faucets before and said they are easy to install and he has had no problems with them. We also ordered the matching Delta touch faucets (2) and the Delta pot filler. The style was really nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta Touch Bar Faucet I bought this faucet to fit the style of the house and kitchen when we did an island counter top remodel. It works great. The only thing I did not know was that I needed the transformer so I did not just use batteries. There is a short learning process for use, but if you just want to use it in the old on-off manner, that works as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it / Hate it. We've had this faucet for close to three years. We quickly grew to love it! Recently, however, it started leaking when turned off. It sometimes will not turn on at all, or will just dribble a bit. while making a water hammer type of noise. Also, sometimes it will not turn off unless done manually. Sometimes it just turns on with no one near it. I've changed the batteries several times, but that doesn't seem to help.. The Delta website does not show any type of repair kit. Is there any type of warranty that covers this?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaks, otherwise pretty neat feature. This product worked great in the beginning, only had to replace the batteries once. It's been a little over a year and a half and now it leaks. At first it started leaking out of the handle and leaves a water spot on my counter. Soon after, it started leaking from the pull down faucet head. O rings wore out fast in my opinion. We use the touch feature so handle gets little use. Intrinsic works fine, only spazzed out on me once. Delta website is to hard to navigate to find parts. Other websites don't carry parts either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best touch faucet on the market We have wonderful success with this faucet. It is our top selling pulldown touch faucet. The magna-tite docking eliminates the sag found on so many competitors faucets. The touch feature is easy to use, works accurately and eliminates messy hands on the fauet.

I want to buy the power supply for this faucet ....

to replace the battery pack. I cannot find it on this site?
Asked by: chuck
Hi Chuck, Thank you for your question. The power supply is part number EP73954. Please note that the power supply only works with solenoids manufactured after January 1, 2015. Compatible solenoids will have a gray housing. If the solenoid assembly is black, you will first need to install the EP74855 solenoid (EP74855XX for Venetian Bronze models). http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/ep73954.html http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/ep74855.html Best regards, Jon

Can the handle be placed on the left of the faucet?

Asked by: Linda
Thank you for your question Linda. Because the spout rotates 360˚,the 9997T-DST can be installed backwards which would put the handle on the left hand side, however the LED base is not adjustable and will face the wall. The handle will also function backwards moving toward the wall to produce warm to hot water. Best regards, Edward

Can you hook up a portable dishwasher to this faucet?

Asked by: Adorak
Hi Adorak, Thank you for your question. Portable dishwashers may be connected to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a Pull-out or Pull-down design. Portable dishwashers should never be connected to Pull-out or Pull-down kitchen faucets due to potential pressure fluctuations during dishwasher operation that may result in rupturing of the hose. Asked by: kathi
Thank you for your question, Kathi! A red blinking light on a Delta Touch faucet indicates the batteries will soon need replaced. 6 AA are included for up to 2 years of battery life or 6 C batteries (not included) for up to 5 years battery life. The optional A/C adapter EP73954 may be ordered separately as well if you have a non-switched outlet below the counter. Best regards, Edward

How do I replace the batteries? It's a Cassidy model

Asked by: Snapper
Hello Snapper! Thank you for your question. To replace the batteries in your Delta Cassidy Touch2O 9997T-DST faucet, you would need to locate the battery box and remove the top (that has the red/black wires connected to it) from it. Then you can replace the batteries. Please see in the Quick Start Guide link, that I have provided below, on pages 33 and 34 of section 5 for pictured directions. https://media.deltafaucet.com/QuickstartDiagram/QS-82180%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Tanya

The faucet drips after touching it to turn water off, but if manually shut off it doesn't drip. Any ideas to fix the issue

Asked by: NathanH
Hi, NathanH! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. Leaking from the faucet in the touch off mode comes from debris inside the solenoid. You may flush the solenoid by following these next steps. 1. Turn the water supply by putting your handle in the manual off position. 2. Disconnect the sprayer hose by removing the blue retaining clip. 3. Place a bucket under the male adapter coming out from the solenoid. 4. Run water into the bucket for 2-3 minutes. Debris located inside the solenoid should be flushed out after completing these steps. If this does not fix the issue, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. You may also email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com. Best Regards, Rosanna
