Installation Information

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement valve Have had a 2nd generation kitchen touch faucet since 2008. This year, the solenoid valve gave out and ordered this replacement directly from Delta. Installation was pretty straight forward. One thing, on some models, the instructions call for you to use an adaptor which involves reusing the old o-ring with nothing said in the instructions about replacing it and no replacement provided. But my o-ring had been compressed slightly after being in use for 10 years. As I was running the hot water there were no leaks (apparently expanded just enough). As soon as I started to run cold water it began leaking. I bought a Delta faucet repair kit for a couple bucks that contained the right size o-ring, replaced it and no leak. I read on on Amazon's reviews that this has also happened to a few other people. It would be nice if Delta put a replacement washer in this kit or at least a note in the instructions to buy and replace it. I also noticed that now the LED light at the base of the faucet is blue for cold water and red for hot where previously it was blue for running and red for changed batteries. I'm not clear now how I'm supposed to know when the batteries are low and nothing of the color change is mentioned in the instructions. Another change I noticed is the old valve would "slam" open and closed, the new one seems to have some type of "soft" open and close, a definite improvement over the old one. Other than a couple of minor issues, if I get the life out of this one I did the original, I will be happy with the replacement valve and we still very much like the original faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good service at a fair price I ordered this product to fix the kitchen fawcet "touch" feature. The product came complete with adapters for the older model and I was able to complete the installation however it stopped working again soon after. After a quick consultation with telephone support they sent me a complete replacement for the part and I was not required to return the defective one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A No Problem Replacement Item Although some of the connections had changed on the newer model valve, the necessary adapters to complete the repair were included in the replacement kit. Complete change out took less the 30 minutes and more importantly fixed my problem. The item arrived when promised and I would recommend using this supplier.

I see there is a ethernet port on the solenoid assembly. What is this for? I can not find anything that explains the function of this.

Asked by: jcb1
Thank you for your question, Jcb1! The ethernet jack port is used by our engineers and some trades people for running software tests. Best regards, Tanya

It appears the LED light function has changed. On my old assembly it was blue when running and turned red when the batteries are low. Now it appears to run red for hot and blue for cold. How am I supposed to know when the batteries are getting low?

Asked by: JEC239
Thank you for your inquiry, JEC239! The LED light on the base of the Touch2O faucet will flash a red light when the batteries are getting low. Best regards, Tanya
