Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warranty Works We had a solenoid failure after just 3 years of operation. We love the Cassidy pull-down faucet and the touch technology. One morning the faucet just stopped working. I dug out our purchase receipt and the faucet warranty which is 5 years. I contacted Delta and the rep was very helpful. Fortunately I registered our faucet and the warranty process was very smooth. The replacement solenoid was sent and within a week I had the new part. The design and installation are excellent. No tools required. A few simple clip uninstalls and then reinstalls with two easy wiring connections and done. Took all of 15 minutes including unloading the sink cabinet. The solenoid works perfectly. Much more responsive then the old model. I give 5 stars to all categories. Quality, design and performance. I wish the original part worked longer and better but the replacement and the warranty process worked well. Very happy....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the original! Couldn't be happier with this replacement. We had the original solenoid and had several problems with it. The new one works much better and added the color coordinated LED to the water temp. The only thing was, I wasn't 100% sure this was the correct replacement part. But it was the right one.

Hello. Is EP74855 a replacement for RP64462?

Asked by: Brett
Thank you for your question, Brett! The EP74855 Solenoid Assembly is the correct replacement for RP64462. Please note that the EP74855 will have added features such as temperature indication via the light base (blue for cold, magenta for warm, red for hot). The light will flash red when the faucet is turned on or off if the batteries need to be replaced. Best regards, Jon

How do I disable the solenoid for temporary use

Asked by: Norman
Thank you for your question, Norman! The Touch2O feature can be disabled by disconnecting the battery box while the water is running. If necessary, the solenoid can also be removed and the hose connected directly to the faucet using the hose clip. Best regards, Jon

Will this work for a replacement for Part No EP92546 as listed in the manual for the Dominc faucet with Spot Shield Stainless finish (Model 19940TX-SPSD-SDT)?

Asked by: Jimmy537
Hi, Jimmy537! Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the Delta EP74855 solenoid will not work as a replacement for the EP92546. The 19940TX-SPSD-DST has a smaller shank and the wider c-clip on the EP74855 will not fit this. Best Regards, Rosanna

How to clear the debris filter in a solenoid

I have a 9197T-AR-DST. How do I check for debris in the solenoid filter?
Asked by: Kristi
Hi Kristi, Thank you for your question. To access the screen, make sure the water supplies are turned off. Remove the blue clip at the top of the solenoid and pull the solenoid off the faucet tube. You can then use needle nose pliers to pull out the screen from inside the top of the solenoid assembly. Best regards, Jon

Can you please tell me the difference between the EP74855 and the EP74855XX? They look identical. I'm trying to replace the solenoid on our Trinsic 9159T DST

Asked by: Brian Plumbercrack
Hi, Brian! Thank you for your question. Since the finish of the faucet effects the touch function for our Delta 9159T-DST faucet, the solenoids are different. For Polished Chrome, Champagne Bronze, Arctic Stainless & Stainless Steel finishes order EP74855. For Matte Black & Venetian Bronze finishes order EP74855XX. Best Regards, Rosanna
