Is the Pearl Nickel finish available?

I have the Waterfall Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet Model 172 in Pearl Nickel. I need a replacement Bonnet Nut, is one available?
Asked by: Mygraine
Hi Mygraine, Thank you for your question! The RP1050NN cap assembly is no longer available in the Pearl Nickel finish. The closest finish we have is the Brushed Stainless Steel finish. The part number would be RP1050SS. Best regards, Brandis

What are the dimensions? Will this fit a shower faucet?

I have a house built in the '80s and need to replace the bonnet nut on the shower faucet (which has a knob and a ball). Can't find the exact bonnet nut anywhere but this one looks pretty similar. Dimensions, please? thx.
Asked by: BDor
Hi BDor, Thank you for your question. If your shower has a ball assembly, you have a 600 series unit. This cap will work with any Delta 600 series shower. The cap is 1 11/16" in diameter, and the opening is 1 1/6". Best regards, Jon

What socket fits this nut?

I'm having trouble getting the nut off. I have hard water and there is calcium buildup on the threads, etc. I can't get it off with channel lock pliers or with a monkey wrench. These faucets came with my house I bought last November. Thanks, Mark
Asked by: Mark
It was a little tricky but I sealed the gap between the bonnet and the faucet body base with strips of packing tape except for a small area in the back (the high side) so I could carefully apply Liquid Wrench to my bonnet threads. I applied several small applications over the course of 3 days to help loosen the potential build-up and corrosion on the cap threads (apply this on the bottom only, not the top where the plastic adjustment ring is under the handle...that won't help this!#. I purchased a 33mm 6-point deep socket #1/2" drive) at my local auto parts store and it fit this bonnet hex head perfectly. Using a 1/2" drive breaker bar, the bonnet cap came right off with little effort, no scaring or damage to the chrome finish. Btw, someone else here in another post notes using a 34mm socket but I found that was too loose for my bonnet cap. In my case, the 33mm 6-point socket was a perfect fit.

brushed nickel finish?

Has this faucet ever been available in a "Brushed Nickel" finish? Trying to match a replacement RP1050 - thanks
Asked by: rusty66
Hi Rusty, Thank you for your question. The RP1050 has never been offered in the brushed nickel finish. The (SS) brilliance stainless finish of the RP1050SS is a brushed finish similar to other brands brushed nickel. Thanks, Dave

dose a rp1050rb fit a model#155

Asked by: merzzie
Hi Merzzie, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP1050RB is not designed to fit the 155 kitchen faucet. If you are looking for the bonnet on the 155 for underneath the handle, it is model # RP51503. Thanks. Jody

how do you remove the Delta Bonnet Nut?

Asked by: Valorie
Hi Bonnie, Thank you for your question. The RP1050 bonnet nut unscrews counter-clockwise. Use a strap wrench or a rubber jar lid opener to get a better grip on the nut. Often hard water/ mineral build up will make the bonnet nut hard to remove. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the bonnet nut. This will help break up the mineral deposits making it easier to remove the nut. Thanks, Dave
