H66 and RP18300
See my original faucet base. It has a flat edge so my wretch can turn it. What's the part number for this and will I need a new one if I decide to use H66.
The diameter of the original base is 2.5in. I am not sure if it is the same as RP18300, because RP18300 is completely round, doesn't have a flat edge for wrench to turn.
Hi Patrick, Thank you for your question. The escutcheon on you older roman tub faucet is no longer available. The RP18300 measures 2.48" on the outside. With this being a trim piece it is not necessary to tighten the escutcheon down with a wrench, hand tight will be enough. We recommend putting thread seal tape on the valve threads to make removal of the escutcheon easier in the future. If your existing escutcheon is in good shape the H66 handle should work with it.
