On your rp18304 that has the CA warning about lead, etc. is there a risk of toxic material contaminating the water after the parts are installed?

Asked by: Lucky
Hi, Lucky! Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet Company provides the warning label to comply with the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, commonly known as “Proposition 65.” Many products sold in California are required by law to carry the label. We are providing Prop 65 warning labels simply to inform consumers that the product contains chemicals on the State of California’s Prop 65 list. Delta Faucet Company products that carry the Prop 65 label pictured above include components made with brass, which contains small but detectible amounts of lead—an element included on the Prop 65 chemical list. Brass has a decades-long history of successful use in plumbing applications. Even though a product may be found to contain a Proposition 65-listed chemical, it does not mean that use of the product will cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Nor does it mean that a product is unsafe. All Delta Faucet Company products meet or exceed the requirements of applicable product performance and safety industry standards, as well as the federal Safe Drinking Water Act. We are confident there is no health hazard associated with the installation, use or removal of Delta, Brizo or Peerless products. Best Regards, Rosanna

2670 Series - Shower Only. Is there a converter or retro-fit option in order to update this valve/hardware to nickel or stainless?

Our 2-handle shower is Delta Classic Model 2670 in Polished Brass. It's time for the PB to go, but I can't seem to find an option. Everything has been discontinued without mention of an alternative for this Series of Handles and Faucets. I'm looking for direction or options that don't involve tearing my shower wall out and redoing the plumbing!!!
Asked by: Mimi
Hi Mimi, Thank you for your question. We do not offer any renovation kits for the older 2 and 3 handle tub/shower faucets. The individual trim pieces (on the outside wall) are still available to order as separate items. Unfortunately they are only available in chrome and polished brass finishes. There are no brushed nickel or stainless options that do not involve changing the rough in valve. Thanks, Dave

Does this come in any other finish? (brushed nickel)

I am trying to remodel bathroom and was going with different handles but can't find any way to do it without replacing the entire valve assembly. The old sleeves and escutcheons are in bad shape, is the chrome covered plastic my only option?
Asked by: Tim
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. RP18304 is only offered in chrome. You can purchase the items seperately under RP18136, and RP18276 in both chrome and polished brass. No brushed nickel is available. Thanks, Dave
