trying to remove identical clear knob handle from shower to replace with new handle but after removing screw cannot remove. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Margo
Hi Margo, Thank you for your question. Once the set screw is removed there is nothing mechanical holding the handle in place. Often mineral build up can make removing the handle difficult. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the handle and the screw opening. Allow the solution to soak in over night if possible. This should help break up the mineral deposits making it easier to remove the handle. Thanks, Dave

Different shaped mounting hole

I bought this to replace my single handle shower knob. The hole on the back of the replacement is a diamond shape, but my faucet is rectangular. Is there a different part number I should look for?

Thank you for your question. We would recommend ordering Delta Faucet model # H71 for your shower based on the description you gave us.

Knob similar to this but where it attaches is at an angle

My clear shower knob is like this one, except that where the knob attaches it is off-center and at an angle. Photo is attached. Do you have a suggestion for a replacement clear knob for this knob?
Asked by: waterman
Hi Waterman, Thank you for your question. The RP17451 is the single clear knob handle kit with button and screw that has the off center attachment point. Thanks, Dave

Which is right replacement knob?

Replacing a broken plastic knob on a friend's shower. The old one did not have the gold H/C button, but we are indifferent as to looks - just want it to fit! Attached is a photo of the mounting. Can you tell which is correct?
Asked by: Heather
Hi Heather, Thank you for your question! The shower is a 600 series unit, which can use the RP2389 or the RP17451PB knob handle. Thanks, Jon
