Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very restrictive water flow I bought this Delta "RP3914" bathtub faucet because it looked like the one we wanted when we remodeled our bathroom. It looked great by picture, and I have to admit I was impressed that it had a brass connection....no plastic connection ! I have my own well for water. It puts out 10 gal. per minute without any restrictions applied. This new Delta spout puts out about 1/4 the amount of water flow compared to our old 25 year old spout....very frustrating....my plumber was even astonished. Where are the specs that should tell/warn about the low/slow flow ?? What gives Delta the right to tell me (or anyone) how much water flow I should have ?? If you don't care if it takes all day to fill your bath tub, you may enjoy this faucet !

Tub Spout Diverter to Handheld and Shower Head

Can you clarify... I have a shower head which is pretty high and I can't put a diverter to Handheld up there it's too far. But if I use this Tub Spout with Handheld diverter, AND if I set put a on/of diverter on the handheld, will that allow the Shower Head to also be used? E.G. Spout Diverted to Handheld, then Handheld set to Off... will the water then go up to the Showerhead? I need a solution to add a handheld to an existing shower, but keeping the Showerhead in place but the diverting has to be at a level where i can reach, currently the Showerhead is very high. Thanks
Asked by: MisterNeedASolution
Dear MisterNeedASolution, Thank you for your question. The diverter on the Delta Tub Spout - Pull-Up Diverter with Hand Shower Port RP3914 unit will only divert water to the handshower port that is connected to it. To add a handshower to your shower system, if the showerhead is too high, you would need to install the Delta 3 / 6-Setting Diverter Rough R11000 and any 3 / 6-Setting Diverter Trim Kit and diverter tub spout of your choice. https://www.deltafaucet.com/search-results?searchTerm=r11000 Best regards, Tanya

Please help. My shower riser is broken and leaks in the wall if I try to use the shower.

So my question is: can I use this diverter without it sending water to the shower riser that's already in my bathroom? in other words, will it ONLY send water to the spout or the handheld shower? (which is what I want) rather than going in the wall to repair shower riser.
Asked by: Stephanie C
Hi, Stephanie C! Thank you for your question. The diverter on this tub spout, RP3914, will only divert water to the hand shower port that is located on the side of the tub spout. The diverter will not divert water to the shower head above. Best Regards, Rosanna

Why is this model compliant with the American Disabliities Act?

What advantage is there to having the diverter be in the middle of the spout instead of at the end? Why would this be easier to use?
Asked by: rc
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP3914 is not compliant with the ADA and we appreciate you pointed this out to us. We will get this removed as soon as possible.

Do you make something like this for a Roman tub?

Have Roman/garden style tub with Delta T4705 deck mount spout (slip on). Do you make a hand shower diverter spout for deck mounting?
Asked by: Robert
Thank you for your question. We do not offer a deck mounted tub spout with a handshower diverter attached. Delta Faucet model # T4705 is already a roman tub with a handshower included. The diverter is a pull up diverter at the back of the spout.

Is there another product offered that can be use to make washing a baby easier maybe a 3 way version of this?

I know this is for tub only but is there a similar product that i can use to divert the water to a handheld unit that is good for kids and easy for them to reach. right now we bath baby in tub and having a diverter spout with a handheld shower attachment would make life very easy.
Asked by: Don
Thank you for your question. We do offer a handheld showerhead with a stationary showerhead built into it. It is is called In2ition. There is a dial on the back of the stationary showerhead to switch the function from handheld only, stationary only or both. If you still want the handheld diverter on the tub spout because you do not have a showerhead, we have a couple of other models available. The model numbers are U1010-PK and U1072-PK.

Can this be used if you have a shower head ?

I Purchased with the thoughts to attach a hose to it to use for bathing our baby in the tub. Can this be used if you have a shower head as well? How will it know if its to use the shower head ? or use the side diverter tub spout? Thanks CH
Asked by: CH
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP3914 can only be used in a tub only application. It cannot be used if you also have a showerhead hooked to the same valve system.
