Installation Information

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DELTA RP44493 I just hooked up Delta faucets that included the quick connect supply lines. You just push them up until you hear a click sound, then pull the connector down a little to make sure they are connected. No fun working under the bathroom sinks.

I want to know how to remove this hose assembly to replace it. The answers here are not clear.... can you guys show a video or a dedicated drawing showing which tab to push etc. Not the boilerplate assembly drawings that you have.

Asked by: amand
Hi, Amand! Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not have a how to video to show the removal of this RP44493 hose assembly. The 'tabs' that you want to push in are part of the clip that is located above the hose connection. You can see the clips on the photo of the hose you can view at the top of this page. HOW DO I REMOVE QUICK CONNECT RP44493 FROM THE FAUCET

Asked by: MARV
Hi, Marv! Thank you for your question. The RP44493 can be removed by pushing in the tabs at the connection in like a clothespin. Push up on the connection to release the hose. Once released, you can pull down to remove the hose. Best Regards, Rosanna

My new facet had two broken clips when I received it. Is there a way to get replacement box clips without getting the entire hose assembly? When I compared it to the other clips it just looks like the ears that stick up on top are broken

Asked by: SPowell
Hi, SPowell! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta faucet. The blocks and o-rings are a replaceable part that can be purchased separately. The part number is RP60121. You can usually find Delta faucet parts at any dealer that sells Delta faucets. Some good places to check can be found on our website under Where To Buy. http://www.deltafaucet.com/where-to-buy/index.html To order parts directly from Delta, you may call the toll-free Delta Help Line at 1-800-345-3358. We accept Visa or MasterCard for parts orders over the telephone. Best Regards, Rosanna

How does the hose assembly come off?

Do you first remove the plastic clips? I need detailed instructions for removal of this hose assembly to replace.
Asked by: ginny
Hi Ginny, Thank you for your question. To disconnect the clips, make sure the outer part with the "wings" is in place. Squeeze the tabs on this part together and push up on the clip as you squeeze. Then pull down and it should come off. Best regards, Jon

can I get a male/female angled extender for the hose assembly fasteners?

I'm installing in a vanity with drawers and with the hoses going straight down from the handles the opening that should allow the drawer to close is hitting the hose. With an extender at a 45 or 90 degree angle the hose would not be in the way
Asked by: celtjim
Hi celtjim, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not make an extender or angled fitting for this hose assembly. Best regards, Jon

How do I remove # RP44493 from the Lorain widespread faucet

I have read the manual, I have read the FAQs, I have searched UTube. I see that 3 people were helped by the question asked before and 5 people were not so obviously there is more information needed. How do I remove the plastic connector from the faucet so I can remove the Lorain faucet from my marble vanity where the cleaning woman spilled vinegar on the marble and now I have to re-surface the marble to renew the lustre. Help would be appreciated. Loren
Asked by: Loren
Loren - What I learned was you need to keep the handle / valves attached to your vanity before trying to de-couple it. The directions ONLY work IF you haven't loosened the handle. I loosened the handle from the sink (thinking I could get an easier view / angle to the plastic connector) and for the life of me could not get it to work. I then tried the opposite one (that I had not loosened) and it came right off as described. I reconnected the other and it too came right off. Good luck!

Is it possible to get just the plastic clip that is already on the faucet stem and the 2 handle stems and not have to purchase the whole kit?

I have been remodeling my master bath and purchased this faucet set and upon doing a dry fit of the faucet and the custom counter top I had used the faucet for about a week then had to remove everything from the faucet, to the granite, and the tile work that trims out the granite. I understand the quick connect/disconnect system but in order to disconnect the hose assembly I had to pop the tabs off of the clip on the stems and you can reference step 1 picture D and then part 1 in the left corner that is blown up larger to see the detail of the connector. Upon putting the counter top back together, I re-installed the faucet and thinking the 2 parts were good, I turned the handle to test and the hose blew off of the faucet spewing water everywhere in the cabinet. I really prefer not to have to buy the whole hose kit to just replace the tabs on both handles and the faucet so I am hoping this is something that can be sent to me or purchased at a much smaller price than having to buy the whole kit.
Asked by: Robert
