What holds this part on the faucet assy. How can it be removed to clean/lube?

I have replaced all other parts on faucet. Cannot remove the hub assy to clean and lubricate it. It is very stiff to move. Water supply tends to cause faucets to load up with white scale.

Hi J, Thank you for your question. To remove the hub assembly, first make sure that the water supplies are turned off under the sink. Remove the handle by loosening the set screw with an 1/8" Allen wrench, then unscrew the cap. You will then need to remove the hose assembly by removing the clip under the sink, disconnecting it from the faucet, then pulling it out from above. You can then remove the hub assembly by swiveling it back and forth as you lift up. You can remove mineral buildup by soaking the parts in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Best regards, Jon
