Is it possible to purchase the insert only? I have the check valve but lost the inserts during a plumbing repair.
Asked by: DumBunny
Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the check valve assemblies RP53468 can be purchased separately from the full faucet.

What does the LF on one and the FL on the other mean or stand for?
Asked by: Brisco
Hello, Brisco. Thank you for your question! The markings on the product itself are only used in the factory. The check valves are the same.
Best regards, Jon

How can I install these for use with the Delta Essa touch? They came with two plastic rings, im not sure what to do with them. Thanks
Asked by: Almi
Thank you for your question. These are check valves that screw onto your valve ends to prevent cross flow of your hot and cold water connections. The instructions on how to install these check valves is on page 19 of the manual for your Essa faucet. Here is a link to the manual online:

Do the check valves in normal operation cut down water flow or pressure? If so, can they be eliminated during installation ?
Asked by: Bob
thank you for your question. The check valves should not limit the flow from the faucet. The aerator at the end of the spout is designed to limit the flow rate. The check valves must be installed with any Touch2O faucet.

LEAD: Are these check valve housings guaranteed to have low lead brass?
These check valve part numbers do not contain a LF in the part number which leads me to believe that they are free-machining. AKA high lead content brass. However the brass parts I have in my hand have an LF stamped into the hex.
Are these check valve housings specified as having lead free (0.25% Pb) brass?
Asked by: Dan T
