how do I get more hot water during our cold winters?

If I turn the water heater up I get very hot water at other faucets in the house. I have tried unsuccessfully to adjust the faucet. I would like to defeat the water flow regulator. I would be able to set the water heater at a lower temperature which would make all the faucets safer. This is a T17092SS model.

Hi Dick, Thank you for your question. The pressure balanced cartridge in the 17 series faucets does not compensate for incoming water temperature. In the winter the incoming water temperature is lower than summer months. Readjusting the rotational limit stop on your cartridge should allow you to raise the max hot water temperature for the faucet. The cartridge does not have a removable flow regulator. Here is a link to our How to adjust your rotational limit stop video. Thanks, Dave
