Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Shower System for us This is one of the components that makes up a complete shower system. This is the second system we have purchased for a new bathroom remodel in a different home. We, as well as our plumber are pleased to know all components come when ordering the shower system.

Q&A

I need to purchase a brushed stainless Delta Elbow for my shower.  I cannot tell on your website which is the correct model number.  Is it Model # 50560-SS?  If not, can you please tell me the correct #.   Thanks,

Asked by: Richard D
Thank you for your question, Richard! 50560-SS is the correct model number for the Wall Elbow in the brushed Stainless Steel finish. Best regards, Jon

My contractor installed the supply elbow with the outlet facing up. Can this be adjusted so it faces down?

Asked by: Jaypro
Thank you for your review, Jaypro! The wall elbow threads on to a 1/2" (13 mm) iron pipe nipple. This can be unscrewed and threaded on correctly, but please be sure to apply plumbers tape to the pipe thread as per the instructions. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/43934RevC.pdf Best regards, Edward

What is this product made of? Plastic?

Also what is the shower bar on the model 57021 made out of? Assuming it's NOT brass?
Asked by: Monika
Thank you for your question. Per the spec sheet (link provided below), the Delta Faucet model #50560 is a solid brass construction. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/50560.html?document=ts&fromDetailArea=bath&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper

Customer wants us to install a diverter and elbow (50560) but wants a cap for the elbow. They do not want a wand at this time but later.

Asked by: SueE
Thank you for your question, SueE! Unfortunately we do not manufacture a cap for this elbow however this model does include a thread-on tool that can be left on as a plasterguard if needed. We would not recommended capping this area to control water flow as the main control valve will do this. Best regards, Edward

My plumber installed a piece of copper pipe attached to pex.  At the top of the copper pipe he installed an elbow 90 degree 1/2 inch copper fitting with tapered threads.  Should the tapered thread copper fitting work and seal properly with teflon tape?

Asked by: Russ
Hi, Russ! Thank you for your question. The Delta 50560-SS Wall Elbow will fit on 1/2" copper fittings with standard threads. We recommend the standard threads be sealed properly with plumber's tape. Best Regards, Rosanna

How far away from the corner should it be to allow enough room to rotate in installation?

Asked by: Doug
Hi Doug, Thank you for your question! You will need to take the length of the entire wall bow in consideration to determine where is needs to be mounted on your wall set up. Below is a link to the technical specifications for the 50560: http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/50560.html?document=ts&fromDetailArea=bath&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Best regards, Brandis

My son recently installed this for a hand shower as part of a complete bathroom remodel. As instructed, he used a 1/2" IRON pipe nipple. Now dirty rusty h2o blasts into my new tub every time used! Why iron? Thanks alot...

Asked by: ChuckB
Thank you for your question, ChuckB! The 50560 elbow is composed of solid Brass construction. The iron pipe nipple is unlikely causing rust as this would only happen over a long period of time but is also inhibited by the galvanization process. When the water is turned off to a home; rust, sediment and debris is disturbed in pipes elsewhere in the pipes. We recommend removing the handle, sleeve, bonnet and cartridge in your valve, turning the water back on to to the unit, room or home, and flushing for a full minute or more to remove any further blockages. Best regards, Edward
