Rated 5 out of 5 by from That was easy! Couldn't believe the price for a Delta original replacement part. Beats the 3rd party brands at the box stores. Replacement works better than the original, but of course it had become old and worn.

Where's part 7 in part 41701?

It's part 7 in the diagram and looks like a simple screw. It's broken off and the top handle part (RP47831) seems to need it to fit snugly. The on-line manual is the same as my printed one except the printed one includes this screw thing - part numbered 7 - a Retention screw - and it's missing from the on-line diagram. It's the problem and even has it's own part number on my diagram: RP20547. Does it come with the cartridge RP41701? Where did it go?
Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. The RP20547 retention screws are not part of the RP41701 stem cartridge kit. They would have to be unscrewed and reused from the previous stem assembly. The short screw provides added support to the stem where the handle set screw attaches. Thanks, Dave

Need cartridge replacements for faucet that is 28 years old.

Need to order. Tried to get locally and they did not have. Help!
Asked by: L Paramore
Hi L Paramore, Thank you for your question! You have our older 2522-LHP two handle lavatory faucet with the old H22 A22 Oak handles. You will need to order the rp1740 stem unit and rp4993 seats and springs. You can use the " where to buy" link below for ordering information: Best regards, Brandis

Replacement parts

Will RP41701 work with the Windemere 25996LF Two Handle Faucet I bought @ Lowes a few years ago? Thanks,
Asked by: GH3
Hi GH3, Thank you for your question. This model will have a code on the back of the faucet base that will indicate which repair kit to use. If you have the code "413763", you will use the RP41701. If the code is "413763-A", you will use the RP54801. Thanks, Jon

With the 2133LF or 2133 unit and a RP41701 stem do I start. It looks like I need access to the screws in the knobs but I see no way to get the knob disk on top off. Just try prying it off with a knife tip under somewhere?

Asked by: VBmar
Hello VBmar, Thank you for your question. The small button on top of the handle will pry off to reveal a Phillips head screw which will allow the removal of the handle. Make sure both the hot and cold supplies are turned off completely before removing the bonnet nut and stem assembly. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best regards, Tanya

facuet drips

how do you get the cartridge out of the faucet I took off the handle and unscrewed the big nut but could not get the cartridge out of the faucet.
Asked by: Frank
Hi Frank, Thank you for your question. With the bonnet nut removed there is nothing mechanically holding the stem assembly in place. If you are replacing the stem assembly use a pair of pliers or channel locks and wiggle the stem as you pull up on it. If you need to reuse the stem assembly thread a screw into the stem assembly and use the pliers to wiggle and pull up on the screw. Thanks, Dave

How can I be sure this is the right part? I don't know if the model I have has an A suffix on the faucet

Asked by: Chris
I didn't see any number on the back of my faucet either. However I did notice my handles use set screws on the side, indicating I don't have the -A model

Does this stem Cartidge kit fit on any delta polished brass lever handles that are available?

Looking to replace my handles--but they are no longer available part # RP41679 in polished brass--will any other handles in polished brass fit?
Asked by: Rhonda
Thank you for your question. RP41701 is a Peerless cartridge for 2 handles bathroom faucets. It will also work with our Foundations models in Delta Faucet.
