Very disappointed!
Looks great, but it leaks! Replaced the cartridge about 6 months after installation because of a leak. The shower is leaking again. I guess it’s another faulty cartridge! Very disappointed!

Great look, cheap shower head
Love the look of this faucet and the square head. Be aware that the threaded nut that attaches the shower head to the lead pipe is made of plastic. I was worried that many other reviews on Amazon and on delta's site have had an issue with that fastening nut cracking. After only 2 months, we experienced the same issue. Contacted Delta and they sent out a new one. The new one lasted about 2 more months and the same issue occurred. Delta's customer service is great, they have promptly sent me out a new one each time, it's just really cheaply made and will continue to fail, sadly.

Shower head broke after 3 months, twice
Purchased and installed this kit 7 months ago and after 3 months of use, I was showering one day and a large crack was heard. Before I could react, the shower head broke off the pipe and fell to the floor(onto my toes of course). Delta customer service was quick to send a replacement and I was quick to install properly, wasn’t over tight, or any excessive strain on the fittings. Well, 4 months after installing the replacement, another crack was heard and the same issue was had. Will be reaching out to delta for another replacement or upgrade, just expected the “quality“ brand shower head to last more then 4 months.

Can I add a longer neck to the shower head so it extends farther away from wall? Also does the shower head articulate on the neck to raise up or down?

Yes, a longer shower arm can be used. The showerhead uses standard 1/2" threads. Yes, the showerhead pivots.

Can I add a handheld for cleaning the walls of shower? What do I need to purchase ?

You would need to purchase the U4929-BL-PK shower arm diverter and you may add any of our hand showers with this attachment. How to adjust the hot and cold water
Hi Anthony, thank you for your interest in the 142864!
When turning the handle on it will automatically be cold. Adjusting the handle up will allow the water to go from warm to hot. To adjust the rotational limit stop to make water hotter, please view the Maintenace and Installation sheet in the link below on page 9.

Does lever only go from Right side to top, ((IE using the clock to indicate on at cold to hot water, at 3:00 to 12:00) or does it go beyond (IE 3:00 to 9:00)? I ask due to water not that hot. Was, am I suppose to adjust the valve? How?

The handle turn limit and maximum temperature will depend on adjusting the Rotational Limit Stop (RLS). See the installation instructions or a video of the adjustment:

How can I get hotter water? It's not hot enough for me and my household.

For the Delta Geist Monitor 14 series, model 142864-SP shower head and faucet, the operating handle only travels 45 degrees from the 3 o'clock position to the 12 noon position, and at the 12 noon position, is that the warmest (or hottest) position?

Hi, I recently bought the Delta Geist 14 series shower faucet. I am wondering how is the Escutcheon water tight? Doesn’t seem to have any gasket or water tight seal behind just some foam that’s taped with double sided tape

A bead of silicone can be used to seal the escutcheon to the wall or if the wall is uneven.

I adjusted the rls counterclockwise so I would have hot water, that also makes the lever go past the 45degree angle to almost 75degree angle right?
