Beautiful design
Love mine. The plumber accidentally took the box with the instructions so I didn’t realize the black button was a water saver feature (like camping showers), so I thought mine was broken. I had an issue with leaking at install and plumber came back out and retaped with their tape and I haven’t had issues since. I was worried at initial install because it dripped from the bottom but my contractor said that it was just building pressure and needed to be broken in. My bathroom hasn’t been used for 3 months. I was disappointed that the material is plastic-y but the overall look is perfect.

Leaks
We also remodeled our bathroom almost 1 year ago. The shower head started leaking a week ago and is a steady drip all day. I'm not impressed with the quality of this product. Stay away from it.

dont know what to say. We had out bathroom remodeled, one of these installed, and it leaks and of course the contractor has yet to arrive. How do you get replacement parts? Reckon Ill have to fix it myself.

For this recertified product what is included in the package? Some answers given say that it does have the rough in and some say that it doesn't. Want to clarify before ordering. Thank you in advance for your help.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 142984C-OB-I20-R.
I can confirm this model is a complete shower faucet that includes an R10000 MultiChoice valve rough.
We do also carry trim kits without a valve rough included, indicated by T in the model number such as T14235.

can i order just a handle and set screw? when the plumber installed he noted that the handle and set screw needed to be replaced because they would not tighten up and we have just been living with the loose handle. would like to get this resolved

Is there a water spout that goes with this?

This shower faucet does not include a tub spout. A similar model 144984C-OB-A-R includes the RP47841OB tub spout.

Can this be installed as 'just' a trim kit using an existing delta 1400 series cartridge? If not, can the new cartridge included with this be used in the existing 1998 Delta rough in/plumbing (just swap the 1400 cartridge for this cartridge) ?

142984C-OB-I20-R.
The included cartridge would not fit a valve from before 2006. But the handle and trim should also fit an older 1400 series valve and cartridge.
