The plumber accidentally took the box with the instructions so I didn’t realize the black button was a water saver feature (like camping showers), so I thought mine was broken. I had an issue with leaking at install and plumber came back out and retaped with their tape and I haven’t had issues since. I was worried at initial install because it dripped from the bottom but my contractor said that it was just building pressure and needed to be broken in. My bathroom hasn’t been used for 3 months. I was disappointed that the material is plastic-y but the overall look is perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks We also remodeled our bathroom almost 1 year ago. The shower head started leaking a week ago and is a steady drip all day. I'm not impressed with the quality of this product. Stay away from it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks dont know what to say. We had out bathroom remodeled, one of these installed, and it leaks and of course the contractor has yet to arrive. How do you get replacement parts? Reckon Ill have to fix it myself.

Hi Carla, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 142984C-OB-I20-R. A replacement for the cartridge is RP46074. Recommended maintenance for a drip or small leak is to replace the RP4993 seats and springs in the legs of the cartridge. The rubber seats can wear or be damaged. this has the valve to right??

Does the rough in that comes with the assembly have to be used if the existing shower stall has one? Because the builder used Delta products when we built the house 10 years ago and is similar except that it's in brushed silver.

This trim fits a MultiChoice valve rough, included, that we introduced in 2006. For a 1400 series shower installed before 2006, the included cartridge will not fit the old valve, but this trim and handle can fit the old valve and old cartridge.
