I have an old Delex valve, I will need to cap off the stem diverter to install the new Delta Arcadia Matte 1 handle multifunctional 6.5 round. Will this work? does the handle have a diverter to the tub/shower
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 144892-BL-HS-R. The included tub spout has a diverter to close the tub spout and send water to the showerhead. A plug for a push-button diverter is RP2865.
If the Delex shower has a single handle, turns on by turning the handle counterclockwise, and has escutcheon plate screws at the lower left and upper right like this new trim, the new trim should fit the old 1300/1400 valve and the old cartridge. The new cartridge for the included valve would not fit the old valve.
If the escutcheon plate screws are both below the handle on the left and right, we don't carry trim to update the shower, unfortunately, for a 1600 series shower that uses RP1991 stem/cartridge.
