shower hardware and sink hardware DO NOT Work.
The plumber came today to install those and said they wouldn't shut off, couldn't shut off the water. My husband reminded me when we put Delta hardware in the upstairs bathroom, that the inner workings of the knob that you turn on and off for the shower did not work either. We had to replace. This is unacceptable.

Given the cost of this system, you’d think that it would come equipped with both left and right diverters. After significant effort, we had to purchase another diverter before it could function properly. Very disappointing.

Our 342701 does not include a shared diverter cartridge. Please note that some areas of residence have water restriction laws that prevent using a shared option. To have a shared option you will need the RP51918.

Our 342701 uses a 1400 series cartridge that comes adjusted to the middle setting. The middle setting provides equal hot and cold water, resulting in the water being cooler than expected. The rotational limit stop will need to be adjusted to your preference and the instructions can be found on page 4 box 3 in the link below!

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 342701-SP.
The included diverter cartridge can be replaced with 3-setting non-shared RP71718.
We don't recommend connecting a tub spout to a shower diverter. It will work, but the flow will be reduced compared to a valve designed for filling a tub. Also, air pressure may trap some water in the pipe to the tub spout that can drip out over time, depending on the geometry of the tub spout.

Can I use the capped port for tub fill?

We don't recommend connecting a tub spout to a shower diverter. It will work, but the flow will be reduced compared to an R10000 series valve with a tub outlet. It may also be inconvenient to have the tub spout turned on in the shared positions. Or, the spout may drip until put in a shared position to let air into the pipe and drain the water.
