How do I replace the stem cartridge?

Thank you for your question!
Before you begin, please ensure the shut-off valves under the sink are closed. Next, the handles can be removed by pressing down firmly on the handle and turning it counterclockwise until it fully unthreads from the valve. Next, you will unthread the bonnet nut that holds the stem unit down. Once this is removed you can then replace the stem unit and reverse the steps.

what is the difference in the widespread and the widespread 2L?

2L indicates a two-handle faucet. This widespread recertified model is the same faucet as the widespread model 3532LF-BLMPU.
