Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaks I bought 4 of these faucets last year and 2 of them leaked. I have had two differant plumbers work on tem and replace the stems. One still leaks and the plumbers say it's the faucet itself. The other no longer leaks but the handle squeaks when turned on. Tghis is getting expensive to have plumber work on these brand new faucets.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but water smells and tastes like a pond We updated our bathroom about a year ago with all new fixtures, walls, floor, etc. Just recently noticed a dirty stinky smell and taste coming from just this faucet. We live in a city that has been rated with some of the best tasting water in the country, but are now unable to drink from this faucet due to the foul smell and taste. After dismantling and investigating the issue, I noticed the clear hose assembly was discolored on the inside of the cold inlet tube. After running bleach through the hose, I was able to kill all the mildew, but am concerned with how long it will be before the mildew returns. I'm not sure why the clear tubing would facilitate mildew growth, but I wish there was an option for a different tubing material that is anti bacteria/mildew.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Causes Smelly Water Beautiful looking faucets. Have new double sink vanity and purchased two Delta Flynn 35768LF faucets. Within a few months water started getting a bad smell for the first 30 seconds when first turned on, only from these faucets. Nowhere else in the house or even the same bathroom has any water odor. I hope I can find a solution that doesn't require me to replace them.

MODEL#: 35768LF-SS I got a small drip after five years. The maintenance document says to turn the handle base counterclockwise to get to the stem unit. Is there something you have to do prior? The handle base is not budging by hand.

Asked by: reed
Hi reed, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that flushing the system could resolve this issue. To flush the FLYNN™ Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet MODEL#: 35768LF-SS, turn off the water supplies, remove the aerator using the supplied wrench and turn faucet handles to the full on mixed position. Turn on hot and cold water supplies and flush water lines for one minute. This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts. Check all connections for leaks, replace the aerator, re-tighten if necessary, but do not overtighten. To remove the handles, hand turn the handle base counterclockwise. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist

I was unable to remove the bonnet nut in order to examine/replace the cartridge. What should I do?

Asked by: Mark
Hi Mark, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 35768LF-BL. A buildup of minerals may be holding the nut in place. Protect the area around the faucet from any drips and runs. Mix vinegar and water, half and half. Soak a cloth in the vinegar water. Wrap the rag around the bonnet making sure to get good contact with the bonnet and valve body. A rubber band or string helps. This 50% vinegar solution will react with the minerals, softening their hold on the metal. Wait 20 minutes or so. Try to remove the bonnet. See here for more information: https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/Bonnet-Nut-Removal Please reach out with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

Asked by: Susan
Hi Susan, Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! We have a Delta faucet installed in a remolded bathroom by a Contractor December, 2021. There is a foul smell and taste to the water from the faucet for several weeks. This was not a noticeable problem immediately after installation and it is the only

Asked by: SteveS
Hi Steve, thank you for your interest in the 35768LF! One of the first steps is to confirm that the smell is coming from the faucet, and not the drain or overflow. Half fill a cup from the suspect faucet and take it out of the room. Check the smell away from the room with the faucet. Many factors can be involved in odor coming from a faucet: - water heater anode rod reaction - stagnant water in sink overflow - bacterial growth in well water - variations in municipal water - foreign matter lodged in the aerator or other areas of the faucet. All of the above can happen regardless of the faucet type installed but many complaints do come with widespread faucets. Many also come from installations on well water. Analysis of widespread hose material has been conducted in the past with the hope of finding something in the hose material that could be changed to reduce water smell. Unfortunately, conclusions from past analyses have been that hose material is not contributing to water smell. Rather, conclusions have been that if bacteria are present in water, the design of a widespread faucet can facilitate its growth because of the hoses connecting the valve bodies and spout. Water rests in these hoses when the faucet is in the off position, which can allow bacteria that are present in the water to grow under certain conditions. Consideration has been given to adding an antimicrobial agent to the hose material to inhibit bacterial growth. Unfortunately, though, antimicrobial agents are not NSF approved and NSF certification is a requirement for faucets sold in the US. That said, we continue to investigate if a hose material change is feasible that could improve the situation. Unfortunately, we are not optimistic that an improvement will be possible, and if one is, very extensive testing over a long period of time would be required to validate any change and make sure it doesn’t cause some other problem. For now checking for a water heater anode rod problem, stagnant water in the sink overflow, or foreign matter in the faucet, could help. If the problem is not resolved in this way, recommending a centerset faucet may be the only other remedy. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance.
