What is the extra metal piece in back of faucet spout  ? Why does this model have it and othered do not . Thank you

For the Portwood™ Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet I understand it is suggested that the two farthest holes can be 6-16” apart on center. Mine appears to be 4-1/2” apart. Would this model not work? Also can you confirm if the drain plug is included?

I have corrosion built up inside the handle that needs to be cleaned. I've removed the handle assembly from the countertop and removed the phillips screw inside. Will the angle handle(top part) remove from the handle assembly(bottom part) to clean?

Asked by: Colin
Hi Colin, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet 35770LF-SP-R. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! The handles are not designed for the top part or lever to separate from the rest of the handle or the bottom. If it does not easily separate, I recommend soaking the handle in 50/50 white vinegar and water, then rinsing to remove buildup. Please reach out with any additional questions! We have the Delta Portwood Faucet and the drain is a pop-up. Ever since we’ve had it installed which has been less than a year it has continuously leaked. I purchased it at Home Depot and they do not sell any repair or replacement O-rings for the pop-up.

Asked by: Joseph
Hello Joseph, Thank you for contacting us. I apologize for the issue you are experiencing with your Delta faucet. We realize that can be very frustrating and I am happy to assist you! We thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. If you have a metal drain assembly, we recommend that you first check to be sure the strap assembly that operates the stopper is properly adjusted and the nut holding the horizontal rod in the drain assembly is tight (snug against the tailpiece). Be sure the stopper is properly adjusted so when the lift knob is pulled up the stopper is allowed to drop down. The stopper is pulled down when installed in the vandal-resistant bail position. If any section hits underneath the counter or sink, the stopper cannot drop far enough to seal. If everything is adjusted properly then check the amount of sealant (plumber's putty or silicone) between the flange and the lavatory bowl itself. (A white gasket is supplied with each non-metallic pop-up to seal under the flange, however, if you encounter a sink with an unusually rough surface, it may be necessary to use sealant instead of the gasket.) If there is insufficient sealant between the bowl and flange, water will leak out of the bowl into the drain, even with the stopper in the full closed position. Note...water will not leak into the cabinet...it will seep into the drain via the overflow holes in the drain body. It is possible to determine if you have insufficient sealant by using a rubber plug to seal the drain opening only...do not cover the outside of the drain flange. If the leak continues, there is a need to apply more sealant. A uniform 1/4" round bead of sealant is required under the flange. Code permits that stoppers can leak no more than a gallon per hour with 6" of water in the bowl. The cap on the stopper is not designed to be flush with the flange. The seal is provided by the weight of the water holding the rubber seal against the flange. Please contact us back directly via email with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

Asked by: Steve
Hi Steve, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 35770LF-R. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help!
