REVIEWS
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly made. Disappointing. Sadly after a short time, it is becoming clear that the materials are failing. It is impossible to turn the handle and now the only way to use it is to turn the broken part as one fused piece and it exposes the plastic parts underneath. Not a great look for an otherwise beautiful faucet. Tried everything but it’s impossible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Aerator is Expensive to Replace I purchased two Portwood faucets two years ago. The faucets have performed well. However, once the aerator began to accumulate a hardness deposit I found it difficult to replace. Turns out that Delta is employing a 13/16 inch -27 threads per inch thread on a unique short cache aerator that has limited availability. The only replacement that I can find is on the Delta website at $19.00 list price plus shipping. Really?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice until it broke. At $140+ avoid it!!! Case # : 18819445 I have had this faucet almost a year. Purchased last year at Home Depot. Installing was a breeze and the faucet worked great up until six months in. Like other reviews the cold water handle became increasingly hard to turn. When I was able to remove the handle it was completely corroded inside the handle, which would not happen unless there was a slow leak. I soaked it in CLR re-tightened everything and it worked fine up until a month ago. The handle base was moving and the whole assembly just came right off from these little plastic tabs inside that connect to the metal faucet base. Again... completely corroded. I reached out to Delta but unfortunately didn't have my receipt or box still. I was able to find my transaction via bank info and the pieces and paperwork from the box I kept, but no receipt and provided all my info to Delta that I could find including pictures of the faucet. I was told it wasn't a manufacturing defect, ha! They did offer a discount coupon but I'm highly reluctant to ever buy their products again. It seems all products are made to fail nowadays and manufacturers won't stand behind their products. I had requested a new right side cold handle assembly, not a new whole faucet since that was the part that I needed. Oh well, switching to Kohler.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Malfunctioning Handle very hard to turn. The handle fell off and will not reattach. I thought delta was supposed to be good.
Date published: 2026-09-18
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The plastic is way too weak to last Plastic base broke on the cold water handle and the hot water one has begun allowing hot water to slowly drip from faucet. Only a few years old, these are just super unreliable. I'm extremely disappointed and will be avoiding delta in the future if they don't make it right.
Date published: 2026-08-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good, easy to install. The faucet I replaced was a Delta, about 15 years old and the hoses were metal covered with threaded fittings. Now they're all plastic with quick connect fittings.
Date published: 2026-07-11
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed Leaking from the spout bottom into the vanity. Poorly designed hot/cold mixing connection consists of 1/8 plastic tubing with quick connect fittings. The tube is leaking inside the spout and might be a relative easy fix but of course this part is not listed as replaceable.

Q&A

Is there a 2.2 gpm aerator available for this faucet? If so, the part number?

Asked by: BillyT
Thank you for your question, BillyT! The Portwood Widespread lavatory faucet has a Cashe or "hidden" aerator, Delta part number RP84385-1.2, that has a thread size of 13/16". Unfortunately we do not manufacture another aerator to fit this specific model however an alternative may be found from a plumbing supply store or directly from the manufacturer of this part. This is manufactured by NeoPearl and their part number of 45.2060.220. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP81288 Best regards, Edward

What towel bar set would you recommend matching with the Portwood faucet since you don't make one in that style? Also, have you known people to mix colors of facets and towel bar sets? I was thinking of dark bronze faucets and champagne bronze for wall.

Asked by: Dawn
Hi, Dawn! Thank you for your question. At this time, we do not make a matching towel bar for the Delta Portwood 35770LF-RB Faucet. We do encourage our customers to mix and match our accessories and lavatory faucets to make a custom bathroom to their own personal liking! Best Regards, Rosanna

In attempting to remove the aerator which would not release. I used a ice pick to get it out but ended up destroying the fill tube in the spout. can i obtain a replacement fill tube to go inside the faucet spout of my Portwood model 35770LF-SP ?

Asked by: Larry
Hello Customer! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We do not recommend using an icepick to remove the aerator. It can be removed with the RP84385 aerator removal tool. The interior tube is not replaceable. The entire faucet will need to be replaced and is now outside of our warranty. How do I replace the cartridge (Stem) in each Flynn faucet. Throught the top (Some how remove the handle.) or disconnect the water supply/spout connection, remove the facet handle from the sink basin and access it that way?

Asked by: Phil
Hello Phil! Thank you for your question! I will be happy to help. Before beginning please be sure to close the shut off valves off under the sink. In order to remove these handles you simply need to twist the bottom portion of the handle off the handle base counterclockwise. This will allow you to then remove the bonnet nut securing the stem unit in the valve. After this simply remove the old stem unit, install the new one, replace the bonnet nut and handle. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Tim

Installed this faucet and have no water coming out of the faucet. I have flow and pressure at the connectors after the shutoff valves. Removed the aerator for flow but still no water. Any tips or advice to troubleshoot?

Asked by: Greg
Hello Greg, Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Nicole

Just installed the Delta Faucet DELTA® Portwood™ Two Handle Widespread Bathroom Faucet, 35770LF. It is leaking at the quick connect. I've noticed other reviews that mention this same problem. Any solutions? Thanks.

Asked by: Leakie
Hi Hopeful, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 35770LF-SP. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! To first troubleshoot this issue, you may need to push the fitting up over the nipple a little harder (you should hear a distinct "snap" or "click"). If you push it on gently, you might hear a slight click, but you haven't quite compressed the o-ring into the housing of the hose. One more push should solve the problem. Please contact us directly for further assistance or if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

Looking at a few faucets. On the videos it shows that the maximum deck thickness is 1.19 inches. What does that mean?

Asked by: JeffL
Hi Valued Customer, Thank you for your question regarding our Delta Faucet 35770LF-SP. For a deck that will receive heavy use or support furniture, 1.19 inches. thickness is recommended. Pressure-treated woods for decking tend to run slightly thicker due to the preservative treatments, so you may need to look for boards thicker than 1.19 inches. Hi Crystal, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 35770LF-SP. The handles are installed by turning the handle base clockwise.
