How far apart should holes be cut in countertop?

Is there a kit for thicker countertops ??

Can you please confirm whether this faucet has a brass pop-up or a plastic pop-up (like the ones found in the faucets sold at Lowe's & Home Depot). I would like the brass pop up and can't tell which online retailers sell which ones.

I have a Delta faucet it looks similar to 35840 but I do not know where to find the model number. The white plastic part of the hot water stem is broken, needs replacement. Inside the faucet handle the #49712 appears. What is the price and how do I order
