Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty push plug Bought this because I loved everything about it. Installation was easy and looks nice. However, after using it for about three months, the water was draining slow. I took the “P” trap apart under the sink thinking it was plugged, it wasn’t. I dumped nearly two gallons of water down the drain pipe and no trouble draining. Come to find out it’s the push plug in the faucet kit that’s making it drain slow. I’ve yet to take that all apart to look at the problem, but it’s not the drain plumbing under the sink or under the bathroom crawl space.

I would like to make sure that this Windemere Roman Tub Trim is a proper replacement for the 12 year old delta faucet I currently have, thanks.

Dear Cookie, Thank you for your question. If your current tub spout has a set screw on the back side of the spout, then any of our trim kits that start with a T27 will interchange for you. If your current tub spout does not have a set screw on the back side of the spout, then you would need to install a R2707 rough in valve below your tub decking to be able to use the new trim kits. It is on 10"centers. Should this product fit without having to replumb using the rough in kit?

Are there special instructions for replacing the spring and rubber seal which came with the replacement cartridge kit?

Hi RER1, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 35896LF. The small end of the spring goes into the seat, and the large end of the spring goes into the faucet body. Note the position of the stem cartridge before removing it so that the handles will move correctly with the new stems. The Delta Widespread faucet seems to fit ok in the granite, the problem is with the connections under the sink. A plumber was not able to connect the provided supply lines with the particular Delta extensions he had. They were actually tub extensions.

Hi Bill, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! This model requires 1/2" inch IPS connections. You can use a ball nose riser (3/8" OD copper tubing) or 1/2" IPS faucet connector. Please use coupling nuts with the ball nose risers and use two wrenches when you tighten. Do not overtighten the hoses or it can warp the valve. How can I get the handles to face correctly without a screw ? They currently face the back ?

I recommend making sure the handle valves are installed with the long copper tubes facing away from the spout. Check that the side labeled for hot water is installed on the left side. The handles are removed by turning the handle base counterclockwise. The stops on the stems should point to the center of the faucet for proper handle rotation. There is a black rubber o-ring coming out between the base of the handle and the handle that turns. HOw do I seperate the pieces and what o ring do I need?

How do I get the aerator out of the faucet? It keeps getting moldy. I don't see how to detach it. I'm guessing it's because the aerator is plastic. The rest of my sink aerators are stainless and don't do that.
