Another Drain Question

I am interested in using an Everbilt cable drive assembly, model # WO-1_CR-CD, for a more contemporary look. The specs say it will adjust from 15" to 24". Will that work? Thanks!
Asked by: Barb
Hi Barb, Thank you for your question about the Classic 400 Bathtub. As long as the drain meets the specifications for the drain and overflow heights, it should work. You may also be able to check with the drain manufacture. Thanks, Nick

do any other surrounds fit this tub besides the classic 400?

I bought the classic 400 tub. But have read many reviews that say the shelves project too far out from the wall and make the space feel uncomfortably tight. I also do not care for the curved design. Do you make any other 3 or 5 piece surrounds that fit this tub?
Asked by: Nancy
Hi Nancy, Thank you for your question about the Classic 400 Bathtub. You could check out our Laurel Bathtub Wall Surround (model B66311-6032-WH). We also have various wall surrounds that are not direct-to-stud, but are glue up options that glue directly to drywall. Thanks, Nick

Is there a list of manufacturer preferred drain assemblies or recommend drain assemblies given the size requirements?

Asked by: Mun445
Hello Mun445, Thank you for your question regarding drain assemblies to pair with the Delta Classic 400 - 60" x 32" Bathtub and I am happy to help you today. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend any one specific brand of drain assembly, although we suggest installing a schedule 40, 1 1/2" PVC Waste and Overflow Drain which can be adjusted for 16-1/2" bathtubs. I hope this is helpful and if there is anything going forward that we may be able to help with, please do not hesitate to give us a call on our warranty line at 800-355-2721 and we will be happy to help you where we can. Drain

What size drain do I need to buy for this product?
Asked by: Sarah
A 2" drain with a height of 16.5". This is not a standard drain height due to deep soaking tub. Standard lever kits will not work so you need a cable, pop-up, or 1/2 turn type stopper.

Step 1 says: "Apply Adhesive along edge where apron support makes contact with apron. Tape in place until adhesive dries." What adhesive do you recommend? Also, do you just glue the apron to the back side of the tub, flush with the floor?

Asked by: Blair
Hello Blair, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Classic 400 - 60" x 32" Bathtub and I am happy to help you today. Below are three adhesives and sealants recommended and tested by our engineers:  DAP® 3.0™ Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing High Performance Sealant  Red Devil® RD3000™ Advanced Kitchen & Bath Sealant  ECO-BOND® Kitchen-Bath-Plumbing Adhesive and Sealant  If you are unable to find one of the brands listed above, we recommend trying to find an advanced kitchen and bath polymer sealant/adhesive or a sealant/adhesive which states it is safe for plastic or polystyrene. Once the apron support is glued to the inside of the apron, it will not be visible from the finished side and it will be flush with the floor. If there is anything going forward that we may be able to help with, please do not hesitate to give us a call on our warranty line at 800-355-2721 and we will be happy to help you where we can!
