Delta's quality and warranty have earned my loyalty as a customer!
Delta's Decor Assist fixtures don't look like items specifically for those with disabilities; I've had several admirers of them not realize they were designed to assist. I'm not disabled but am a senior and chose several fixtures from this line to have them available for possible future need. The finish is lovely.
My contractor supported all my assist fixtures with braces behind the wall to ensure their support capabilities.

Delta assist bar
Love this. It is very modern, has dual use and is a safety bar.
. It provides a modern look, can be used as a towel hanger and/or wash cloth, hanger, all while providing a secure grip for individuals who need a little stability entering or leaving a Beth ares.

Solid, Gorgeous, money well spent!
We bought this towel/assist bar for our ADA 'forever home'.
My husband installed it easily using the provided instructions, and it looks gorgeous on our walls! We've tested our weight on it, and it holds up solidly!

Towel bar and Assist bar combo...
Price was the best around and product arrived as indicated in the shipping details...Matches the other Delta Grab bar/shower bars I have in the newly updated shower conversion...Looks great and very sturdy when screwed into backing plates behind the shiplap we installed on the one wall. Even our plumber was impressed with the quality of the finish and sturdiness when installed.

What is an Assist bar and what does it do; this is for the towel holder and tissue holder?

Thank you for your question. The assist bar that comes with the Delta Traditional 24" Towel Bar with Assist Bar 41319 model, is designed for bathroom support. Assist and Grab bars are safety devices designed to enable a person to maintain balance, lessen fatigue while standing, assist in holding some of their weight while maneuvering, or have something to grab onto in case of a slip or fall.

Can this be used in a shower?

Unfortunately, it is not recommend to install this in the shower as it could cause the towel bar to rust and/or degrade the finish. 1) Can this be mounted on a 45˚ diagonal? 2) Can it be used inside a shower?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 41319-RB Towel Bar with Assist Bar can be installed in a shower. Wood blocking is preferable behind all wall surfaces. If wood blocking is not available, the supplied fasteners are recommended. The maximum 300 lbs. will work as an assist bar on indicated surface when properly installed.
