Sturdy and attractive
This is the perfect small (12" to 15") side grab bar when exiting a shower. I have showers without doors, so this bar gives added security on wet tiles and floors. The finish is identical to other fixtures in the bathrooms, so the look is quite natural and it fits the purpose of support/stabilization.

Looks as Good as It Works
I placed this grab bar just inside my walk in shower, vertically at about shoulder height. It is polished nickel and matches the Delta shower fixtures, so it looks really good while it gives me a helping hand. I had it professionally installed and it is very sturdy. I also added a horizontal 24" matching grab bar along the shower wall. They both have a modern look, unlike the ones you see in hospitals, which only make you feel old. This grab bar is worth the extra coast if you are interested in having a seamless look. I am planing to use the same grab bars when I remodel my guest bathroom.

Like the look!
We were very happy with the Delta grab bars in our first bathroom renovation so have added them to our other two bathrooms during renovations. These grab bars vary from others in that they don't have an institutional appearance. They actually add to the room's decor. We have the matching toilet paper holders and towel racks which also double as assist bars.
They make our bathrooms more safe without the look of generic grab bars.

Functional and Stylish
My interior designer friend was mortified when I wanted to install grab bars in my newly remodeled shower. But, I knew their importance because I'd severely broken my foot several years ago while hiking, and I wished I'd had them then. Besides, I'm not getting any younger. I'm happy to say that they I love having the security, and my friend agrees they don't detract from the aesthetic of the shower because they coordinate nicely with my Moen shower components. I'm happy I chose these.

Substantial and high quality product. Handsome style and polished nickel finish is beautiful. Installed using blocking behind a tiled wall during bathroom renovations. 12" size was perfect for tight spot where grab bar was needed. Installed with 18" and 24" sizes in other locations in bathroom. Style and finish coordinates well with fixtures from another manufacturer. Bar provides comfortable grip. Very pleased with appearance and quality of this product.

It ell as being a good safety feature.

Hi! What do you suggest to clean my polished nickel grab bars? I've seen wax, dish detergent, Wenol, vinegar and water and plain microfiber cloths mentioned in online forums, but trust your recommendation above all others. Thanks!

Thank you for your question regarding the Delta 12" Traditional Decorative ADA Grab Bar 41612-PN model. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measure is needed, a solution of 50% white vinegar (never Apple vinegar) could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking.
Caution: Vinegar can permanently damage porous rock surfaces such as granite or limestone countertops. Use extreme care if such a surface is in the vicinity.
o Avoid harsh abrasives or polish
o Avoid bleach-based cleaners
o Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner.
o Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.
o Because cleaning formulas can change without notice, Delta Faucet Company does not endorse any specific cleaner.

Will this rust if placed in my shower
I have read questions and answers on the towel bars and robe hook, stating they should not be installed in the shower due to the mounting hardware not being rust resistant. Is the mounting hardware for the grab bar different?

While it is not recommended to use the grab bar in the shower stall, you can use the unit in one. Be sure to wipe it dry after showering to prevent water spots.

How do you install the Delta 4612 and 4618 in a tiled shower? Instructions included are for drywall.

Thank you for your question regarding the Delta 12" Traditional Decorative ADA Grab Bar and I am happy to help you today.
To install the following grab bars, models 41612 and 41618, directly to studs to ensure the bars are ADA Compliant, you will need to use a stud finder to locate the studs behind the tiled wall.
If you wish to install the bars to drywall, anchors will need to be used to attach the bars to the wall.
