Delta grab bars make the bathroom safer
This Delta is an exellent bathroom grab bar. I used it vertically next to the shower, and horizontally next to the toilet. Horizontally, It can be difficult to find studs, which are 16" apart, with a 24" bar. I used a mounting board. The 18" bar, however, will line up 2 screws on each end with 16" studs.

Double duty
Will double as a towel bar so a bather who needs some help getting out of the tub can not only grab a towel but hang on to the bar with no fear of it giving away.

very weak.It broke after a year of use
The bar broke into two pieces after a year of use. The inside is not steel. It has white powder. Now I have to detach from the wall and find a replacement that has the same size.

Are your stainless steel grab bars and towel bars plated or solid? Is the ss finish polished or matte?
I am renovating a bathroom and selecting new bath fixtures and accessories.

Want to do the whole bathroom remodel in Champagne Bronze (it's why I'm considering Delta for the remodel) and you have shower fixtures in it. Can this be used a Slide bar for a hand held shower? If so why not standard option? CZ Finish not tough enough?

A grab bar is not designed to be used as a slide bar however the U6300 hand shower holder is made to fit a 1 1/2" or 1 1/4" (32 mm) round slide bar which is the same dimension as this grab bar. Can this grab bar in chrome be installed inside a shower?

Can this be installed in a tile shower?

Thank you for your question regarding the Delta 24" Traditional Decorative ADA Grab Bar and I am happy to assist you today.
The finish of the grab bar will be durable enough to be installed in a shower, however it would be best to install the bar with water proof screws to ensure they will not rust over time. Also, you will need to ensure each side of the grab bar are attached to studs to make certain the bar will be ADA compliant or you will need to use a wall anchor. If you are installing this model in a finished shower, you will need to use a stud-finder to locate the studs you wish to attach the bar to.

Shower door installation?
Can this be installed on a glass shower door as a handle/towel bar?
No, this is a Grab Bar and at least one end of this bar need to be install into a stub. Most shower door mounting holes are pre-drilled.

Is this bar totally smooth or does it have an anti-slip section in the middle of the bar?
